Live timing is really not working great by the looks of it.
250 is not stacked but Valin beat them by a mile.

Vlaanderen get a bad start?
Really hoping Jonass can find top form again this year.
The MX future in the UK is very bleak.
It is but at least Jamie keith won both his 125 motos today. Not exactly a stacked gate but I'm looking forwards to seeing him in EMX.
That is an incredible result for Valin in the combined race!

Really this kid is surprising me year after years
yeah what an amazing ride. Really has no info of this guy, can you give me an update who he is ? seems like i going to se a lot of him this year
French kid, he won the EMX 250 championship last year on a Bud Racing Kawasaki and is racing MX2 this year on the factory Kawi team.
I can give you some, he is the closest professional racer from my parents housse, he grew up literally 5 minutes from there and I also had the chance to cover the commentary for some events he was competing in.
I must say, if I'm honest, I would have never guess he would be that good. 5 years ago he was a good 65-85cc rider but I wasn't expecting so much. Then he became really fast on the 85cc and dominated the french nationals by a mile (his last 85cc season he won every races but one). I was thinking that's a great step but there is a lot more to do. He came to the 125 category and had a good first year, not that great but good. Then he stepped it up again to become as fast as the one I was back then considering as the potential next big talent in Europe, Janis Reisulis. Came up short to beat him in EMX125 but he won the world cup, and obviously won the french title as well by winning every races very easily (I remember him setting a 2.04 in time practice in Rauville, 2nd 125cc was a 2.11 for example). After that last 125 year, I told myself "ok, that is suprisingly going very well considering where he was 3-4 season ago, I wasn't expecting that".
Then last year, first season on the 250 and he won EMX250, damn it that I would have never freaking guess! At first he was mostly the consistent guy, then he improved throughout the season and became even faster than Lata at the end. He also won the French 250 title the exact same way against Mathys Boisrame. And this year, that is again starting very well with than final race ahead of Romain, Jeremy and Pauls in the sand on his 250.
I usually see great kids from a very young age (I was putting a lot of hope on Jett in 2017), The Coenen, Janis Reisulis etc, very good very young. Mathis, completly different profile that came under my radar. Started his career a bit shy in speed but he consistently gain 3-4 second a lap (and believe me it is not an exageration) every off season, no matter if he change category or stay one the same bike, I don't think I ever saw someone learning with so much efficiency every year.
I agree Keith is very good, the rest not so much.
100% agree with you on that one.
Didn't expect Geersts to be so bad
Where to expect him, with all the injuries he had recent years? He is doing well!
Shame for Van Doninck, sounds like he hurt that same leg he injured last year!
It was a great day, 450 class racing was intense, Coldenhoff looked on form, Febvre had one shot at him on the final lap in the trees, but was half a bike out of it., Renaux looked good for his win too, those 3 were gone in the first 2 races, in the Superfinal, Valin made the most of the 10 second gate head start , and led till 3/4 distance, before Coldenhoff passed him , Jonass got close, , Febvre tipped off twice, and almpst caught both of them as darkness started to fall.
Valin pissed off in both races, he was a stand out rider on the day for me, i would have loved Dewulf to be there to show us how fast he was, he lapped Doensen, and Werner, they fell early, but made little progress, and the Kawasaki smoked then. I can only imagine Shaun Simpson will have said ' and this is why you dont ride in spain all winter' after race 1, and they were better in races 2 & 3 .
Ben Mustoe was the stand out UK rider for me, with Callum Mitchell also looking good, Billy Askew had a good ride in Moto 2 , but there were a lot of 'learning days', Joel Rizzi , who was entered in 450, rode the 250 DirtStore Triumph, and looked a decent speed but falls hampered him.
Jamie Keith cleaned up in 125 , was some good racing, but he had a fairly faultless day.
It's a bit worrying that there seemed to be very few of British 'High End' riders in attendance, at a Classic British race.
Though, the 450s was stacked with a lot of great Euro racers.
Written with apologies for what may be my ignorance of the British scene.
We've always got some confliction between major International events ( seems strange that organizers can't get together and co-operate ) , and I've yet to see if any of the Brit riders were at Mantova(?) on the same weekend.
