Yep, Gold Wings came in wooden crates. Most everything else came in metal crates. My dealership sold BMW's and Ducati's and they arrived in wooden crates.

I agree with everything you’ve said but it’s still a bike that has never been ridden. All of those parts can be replaced and you’re not dealing with any mishaps that could arise from previous ownership. A blank canvas with zero hours is a better starting point imho. This is under the assumption this is a zero hours bike of course.
