I am not a Deegan hater/lover but I sure enjoy watching him ride and like when he wins so I can hear what childish bs that will seep out of his mouth  on the podium.

I had grandkids with me during the first 3 rounds and he sure is hard to find in the pits other than his assigned autograph session.

I bet you we had a dozen times to interact with Juju during these early rounds. It seems like he’s out there roaming around and poses for pictures or signs stuff for the kids. He seems to love where he’s at in life and is very happy to be out and around the fans.

These two will hopefully provid us fans with the good guy/bad guy battles in the coming years. That is until Deegan grows up and matures

Yep the podium nonsense is just a over exaggerated act IMO ,similar to pro wrestling. Deegans are purely doing it for marketing  reasons.  The Deegan's want a rival just like Brian had all through FMX with TP199.  It puts more eyes on them.    This season....  First it was Kitchen and now JuJu.

Yes, but what has Deegan said, specifically, that would justifiably get under someone's skin at home anyway ?

I've asked this numerous times to different people, with no response.

Saw Deegan interview on swap and he took a few more subtle shots at JuJu, by questioning if Kitchen was still there, would the two of them being pulling away from the other guys, almost acting like JuJu and Davies aren't quite worthy yet.  Would be fun if Ju Ju won next race and said on the podium "I heard some of the other guys talking trash and it pissed off the REAL bull" LOL.

Exactly. He’s sitting there saying how both Juju and Cole are riding awesome this season

I even saw a comment ripping him for jumping in on Cole's podium interview to congratulate/razz him. "He's gotta be the center of attention!" Or he was stoked for his young teammate who he rides with all week? Jesus. If he thanks God on the podium, he's called a fake Christian. People are going to sperg out no matter what he does

He should be happy Kitchen isn't there. He would be handling this weak field right now

Until Deegan matures ?

You have demonstrated that by being preoccupied with what a 19 year old kid "says" that you deem "immature", your own maturity is that of a kid.

The trash talk is all just a game to get people rialed up and talking about him....and it works.  I can't stand the kid myself, but the reality is he is just better most of the time.,  Juju had the chance to push him over that berm in the second turn and didn't, then had the chance to go with him and couldn't.  Deegan rode away from him and I think you will see that from here out this season unfortunately.  I hope not, but getting dropped last night might be too much for Deegans confidence and Juju's ability.  We will see.

Deegan needs a rival…He started the season amped up for Levi, but we all know what happened there. Seems that took a little wind of of his sail..

Outdoors it was Hymas…right now it’s Beaumer. Whatever motivates him to win is bad for the competition..

If you know that it's just a mental game being played,..Why do you allow it to simultaneously get into your head to the point that "you can't stand him" ?

He just turned 19 about 3 weeks ago making him barely past high school age and you're allowing his words to effect you. It doesn't make any sense.

Some seem to get all twisted up and personally invested in this stuff. Kinda humorous.

How was he cheating? I don’t like the whole bike claim BS either, but I put that blame more on the AMA for not following through.

Why do I have to explain cheating to you? If the bike gets claimed and you don't forfeit the bike, then you cheated. That's how the rule works. It doesn't matter who was involved or who made it happen. The fact that the AMA enabled it, just makes it that much more egregious. And Brian was fully in on it asserting pressure on the AMA and pulling the kid into a back room without his father present.

Look, its not the end of the world. I generally like the Deegans and I watch the videos here and there. But, that doesn't mean I'm obligated to endorse everything they do. That was cheating.

Juju should ride Haiden’s wake and build on the good guy/bad guy relationship.  Could heighten his branding and create interest with fans and sponsors.

The 250W lacks a rider who can, and will, take the fight to Deegan.  He’s not parking an RJ Hampshire in qualifying as the dude can make your life miserable.  The bravado, real or otherwise, will subside once Dangerboy gets in the ring with some bad hombres.

That's a solid take. Someone referenced Micheal Jordan and how he made up these battles in his head to motivate him to smash his competition. Similar mindset with Deegz and it clearly works. Say whatever you want about Haiden, he certainly rides to the occasion. He needed a win this week and to beat Juju and he did just that. He's still going to need the starts to win this title. His speed isn't that much greater than Juju that he's going to come from way back on him

Watch last nights press conference if you want to see what he normally acts like.  lol     The podium stuff is an act along with some interviews. Brian did the exact same sorta stuff and it worked well for marketing the Mulisha brand.  They are obviously taking a similar approach with Haiden's career.

There are guys in every sport that look for “ bulletin board material” to use as fire for competition. I think he likes to take every perceived slight and use it for fuel. He starts it with everyone who challenges him. It’s not that big of a deal.

You completely dodged the caveat detail part of my question. I will admit, it is rhetorical, because it really just casts a light on reality.

Your dislike of him is based on the things he "says", while in the same breath, you say that you realize that it is all just a game designed to get a response.

Most of these high-school aged racers, as one would expect are scared sh*tless and are liable to say anything. Their brains are far from being developed. They are still sorting out who they are. Every 19 year-old kid on the planet is a fool.

This is a sport of racing, not interviews and broadcast commentary.

It's very apparent that people's reaction to Deegan's immaturity is extremely immature.

Agreed- not quite sure why folks on VitalMx get so worked up about this…We are lucky to have him in the sport- adds tons of excitement.. the amount of emotional reaction to Deegan is quite unusual…It’s all good..

They can't. The simply truth is, they don't like him so they are going to amplify everything he says and cry about it, which is ironic because Haiden's  worse crime is being a bit immature. Yet a bunch of adults with keyboards throw tantrums about him online.  It's great entertainment.

If he went up there and said,

“Good race. Good battle. Thanks to my sponsors.”

Majority of you would say he’s boring and needs better speeches.
