Common man reviews for those of you who have them?

Do you agree the front provides the most notable benefit? Thoughts on the rear?

I'm definitely a common man, so at $360 a set I won't be finding out. Standard MX34s at under $200 will do just fine.

Just received a couple fronts, I should have a review after the weekend.

I got to use a take-off front in 2016 that I ran 'til the knobs were falling off. It was incredible.

I have been running the AT-82 front and saw where Deegan and Hunter Lawrence were both using it. Deegan's mechanic said it was an "off the shelf model" they were using. For me, I know I like it better than the MX-33 or 34 standard versions.

$160? I see all those upvotes and I wonder. Smile

Common man (who rides):

Owning 2nd or third bike, Taking a 3k bath selling perfectly fine 2022 for brand new 2025, $1,500 exhaust on 58 HP 450, $1k ECU, $1k 2nd wheelset, $250 Graphics yearly, Ti engine hangers, 3+ sets of gear/boots, different color handlebars, toy hauler, $70k truck,

Not in this economy:

$300 riding lessons, revalve for weight/height/ability, Change suspension oil, cleaning air filter.

ML did a great review video on here. Front is more stable, less comfort. Rear has some more comfort, probably because of the 90 height. Both have more traction. Lasts almost as long as standards.

Long time dunlop guy here…the more I ride with the Mx34 front the less I like it, only works good in deep sand for me,  track with a harder base it just does not feel planted …recently rode a track that was disc & loam on top of a medium to hard base, the 34 sucked, swapped wheels with a 53 mounted up and instant confidence…..talking standard tire here….

I have my race spec tires but taking a risk and not running them till Daytona. Hoping i find more traction/confidence up front with it.

Risk im glad I took!

Alot of my front end push feeling that i couldn't tame with sag or clickers disappeared! There was a good mix of dirt in Daytona this year from loam to hard chop. I definitely felt an improvement in feeling hooked up and less skaty. Got my best start when the water truck made one right to left pass down the center of the start. I was concerned because it was super hard packed and rutty about 20' out then hit a section of track that crossed the start straight (where they watered). I figured id hit the watered part, lose traction, then regain in dry dirt. I hooked up straight through that stuff. Rear traction felt great especially on corner exits. I had literally no stepping out and in my main i was being as aggressive as I could be. The broadcast announcers even mentioned the drive I was getting out of corners. 2 practices and 4 motos and theyre both still in great shape. Ill probably buy an extra rear or two to have on hand for any bigger races i do. If i noticed the stiffer carcass at all, it was on jump faces. I felt i could push through them better with less squish feeling. Overall, for racing, id definitely say it was a performance improvement, therefore, worth the few extra bucks if you care that much.

Nice!!! I’m on Dunlop team & they were out of all front tires except the front spec so I have one on the way!

I did the team thing a few years through one of the sponsor sites but i have a local tire/wheel guy (Smooth Speed MX ltd) and get my stuff through him now. Been a Dunlop guy for 25+ years tho. Tried others through time but never felt as confident so always went back.

I also run 110 rears on my 450s because i can't turn with 120s.

I tried the AT82 front tire after I found out many were using it in SX and really like it. I'm going to have to try the spec front tire at least.

I’ve been running the fronts for a little while now, I’m relatively impressed. I’ve been running the tire on my KX450 with mousses, and my Stark Varg with tubes.

My biggest complaint on my KX is pushing the front, and I do feel the tire helps with that. It just feels more planted and requires less rider input to settle into the corner.

They do wear fast on any sort of hard pack. Like, really fast.

I don’t find them to be earth-shattering, but they’re good enough I just ordered a few more. To be honest, I did expect to be blown away a bit more. I also ordered a AT82 front to try since so many are running it in SX.

I was surprised how similar the tread pattern is to the MX34. Nearly identical (standard MX34 on the left, factory spec on the right)
