Is this a quad that only JS would do back in 05 ish? Now with 450s and better suspension, efi etc most of the 450s and several 250 guys were doing.Im bored and think about useless shit like this often.
Was thinking the same thing, got that feeling on press day when the only two to touch it were Hill and Jett. I was honestly shocked when most of the 250’s were launching it as early as qualifying
You know when you go to a local race and there’s a kid on a super mini jumping two huge rollers nobody had ever even considered could be a double? Every single dude on the track was an even faster gnarlier version of that kid. The dudes who don’t make it into the night show were that kid.
The technology has elevated and allowed more people to jump things like that, but every dude out on the track has that dog in em.
On a modern 450 Stew would have seat bounced all the way to the Tijuana border crossing.
Meme for attention
Seems like a lot of air time to be the faster line. Anyone else notice Juju didn’t hit it a single time in the main.

Vegas 2003 James was the only guy hitting a quad out of a sweeping left turn on his 125! No one would touch it, not even in the 250 class. It was insane to see in person. If everyone can do it it’s not “stewable.”

Negative. Dudes have been going big forever (see 125’s sending below at an Anaheim quad), and the fact that more than one person did it (relatively easily) means the Stewable queation is off the table (re-reference 2014 Toronto for a foundational lesson)…
In terms of technicality- I’d say that 3x 4x was easy.
In terms of big cahoonas, well that’s very different.
I think it shows that nowadays the riders know what it takes to be there and you’ve ‘got’ to do that kinda thing.
Was it even faster? I think it was, but negligible. But doing it puts your name on the map as the real deal.
Imo the quin Jett did last year, that they made disappear for the night show, was a contemporary example of Stewable. The San Diego quad was not.
