Have they paved the parking lots yet?
My wife and I flew out there for the first year in Snap Dragon and we left immediately after the 450 podium and got out to our car pretty fast. We then waited in a 50 foot line to the exit and it was like an apocalypse was going on. People screaming at each other, making their own lanes, so many people almost running into each other threatening you to stop. Never seen anything like it, really put a bitter taste at the end of a great day/night of racing!
Stadium is cool/smaller. Not really a bad seat in the house. Pits are right there outside of stadium.
As a midwest guy, I thought it was awesome to just look at the map and see all of the different location names you hear about a lot in this industry. Cool to take time to drive by a lot of the tracks, shops, etc. in the socal area.
Enjoy!!!
Park away from the stadium and ride the Trolley in. Don't get raked over the parking fees!

Love San Diego, but that place should still be the Home of the Chargers

I miss Jack Murphy stadium. Lots of great pro racing memories there....and some of my own amateur mems....
Snapdragon is a much better pit experience than Petco, but I prefer the viewing at Petco and being downtown for restaurants. I also live downtown so walking there is easy.
Would suggest taking the trolley in vs parking. Completely unhinged last year. Coming from downtown- there’s a station in gaslamp or little Italy to get to the stadium for less than the price of a beer.
See you there. A1 was awesome too:
Definitely take the trolley if possible as others have said, parking isn't worth it. The stadium isn't as grand and impressive as Petco, but its pretty damn nice and I kind of like the smaller feel. It makes getting around to your seats, food, bathrooms a lot easier. Most of the seats seem to have a pretty good view too.
I agree.... Snapdragon is very easy to get around into and out of. It's just not the same feel as Petco or Jack Murphy (qcomm)....it just feels "diminished" in some way.
Saw Jimmy Buffet there last year shortly before he passed....great place to see a concert.
The stadium is awesome, great parking lot and awesome viewing from the whole place. Way better than Petco. No more of a problem leaving than any other kind of big event. I also like the parking lot party before the race.
Being downtown at Petco is cool but also a way bigger hassle.
Not quite the A1 vibe, but no SX is. Snapdragon does have a more modern feel to it. Yes, leaving the parking lot was a nightmare. I don’t think it’s any different for the other rounds. I’ll be there, too.
Other then it being a cool stadium that round wasn’t that cool. Two different pits far from the stadium. I worked on a team the first year they had it at petco and going back and forth from the truck to the stadium was a pain in the ass. The homeless problem was wild too
We went last year…. Found that if you enter purple parking via San Diego Mission rd to the north east of the stadium, it’s a pretty easy in and out. Smaller venue, but we enjoyed it. Pits were very accessible.
I liked Snapdragon - it’s got an open airy feel to it, feels like a modern stadium compared to The Murph - duh !
Didn’t go last year but the year before we bust out right as the 450 winner crossed the line and got out the parking lot in literally 5 mins.
That said I’d rather Petco , the downtown vibe is awesome and I think it’s a nicer stadium even if the pits were are cluster and the parking was a pain .
This. Free parking at the Fashion Valley trolley station, and a 5 min. ride to the stadium.
I posted this a few weeks ago about San Diego. Its a FREE event and we have a few spots left open if you are interested.
Once again Feld is partnering with FCA Motocross at select rounds of the SX Series for the FCA Supercross Experience. This year is the first time for a California Round.
Saturday January 18th at the San Diego SX, 100 people will be allowed into the stadium before the Stadium is open to the public with FCA Motocross. The group will be seated next to the track to watch the Rider Track Walk, listen to the Riders Meeting and attend the Chapel Service. After Chapel Service the group will be escorted to a private area where we will have a Meet & Greet with a Special Guest. In the past Specials Guest have included Trey Canard, Andrew Short, Ty Masterpool and Ryan Dungey just to name a few.
This is a FREE event. You just have to have a SX ticket and sign up on the FCA Website. Registration will be open until we reach 100 people signed up. To sign up, click on the link below.

Being a Huge NFL fan it just does not seem the same feel with the Chargers not in SD. Hope someday they are able to return and the Raiders can make it back to Oakland where they belong.
I paid 50 bucks to park at A1… I’m still not over it
Insane. ...and it will only continue to go up.
Last few times I attended Anaheim races, I would park on surface streets and hoof it to the stadium. It really wasn't bad...and bonus, no waiting to get out of the parking lot. I don't mind paying for reasonable parking....but when they're gouging the shit out of you, I'm out.
Pit Row
none of us are, totally not cool.
I went to a Chargers game at SoFi. Parking was $125. If it were 1/3 that amount, it would still be too much money to park a car. Never again!
Oh HELL no.....
When people talk about "growing the sport".....this is where you end up.
Curious what you think it has to do with "growing the sport"?
Are these parking lots jacking up prices just for Supercross or are they just charging their standard rates they do for any event?
Would you rather shrink the sport and not have Supercross racing in the major stadiums across the country?
Edit to add: Thanks for the downvote and not answering the question Magoober. It's baffling how you can make so many stupid ass statements with so much confidence and never be man enough to back it up when people question it.
