He's up by 18 with 5 races to go. He's fine as long as he puts it on the podium every week and wins a couple. If he loses this championship, it'll be a BIG choke. He as up by about 30 points over guys who can't ride as fast as he does - that's what you call a big advantage.

Chad Reed is so dominant it would be a travesty for anyone else to win the title. He was killin' it near the end of Daytona while everyone else floundered. The bike blew up, not Reed. This week he walked right by Kdub and was ready to pass Hill when he went down. Considering his illness, he did well to even race the main much less salvage 7th after the crash. I'm guessing he's got the flu bug that's sweeping the country, and I know it kicked my ass a couple weeks ago. I couldn't imagine completing a 20 lap race if he's got the flu. If anyone but Reed wins the title, be sure to put an asterisk next to their name in the record books, because Chad is clearly on another level than the rest of the field this year. 8)

There is a reason they run all the races . There are other riders faster than Chad. Should we just give them a championship?

Whoever wins the SX title will receive an asterisk as well, even if it's Reed...

Why? Because a certain rider rarely races a full season?

If someone would have told me the week after Stewart announced he was getting his knee fixed, that this weekend we'd be saying that Reed had only won one of the last five races, I'd have thought they were crazy........

I've seen Reed with all the preasure in the world and he doesn't choke.

He is one of those rare individuals where pressure makes him perform at his best, and in his case i'd argue he may even need the pressure to perform at his best.

I think I might have heard Ralph Shaheen mention that Chad had the flu. <img class= " title="Laughing">
I wonder if CR and Ellies marriage is tight or if Shaheen really has a chance with Chad.

Redd was sick. So was JT$. Most of us don't go race at the highest level let alone make the main when we have the flu now do we?
