One can only hope. I don’t think Pierre is any better, but at this point we need drastic change and the liberals are very out to lunch with the average Canadian citizen needs and wants. Our Country is a shell of its former self and I don’t know if it will ever come back.

For one, moving right has to be looked at in perspective. I see it as moving less left but over time, the left is winning. Also it's a pendulum. Because people that live in democracies continue to think that their lives are dependent on who wins national elections, when all the blue skies and chirping birds don't appear they are quickly disillusioned. Then they either switch their vote or they stay home and the other side shows up. In the coincidental event that the blue skies and chirping birds do appear the bumbling politician takes credit and the low information voter, who decide elections, believes them and they get another term.
All I am saying is to not be surprised in 8 years when turbo Trudeau shows up in Ottawa.

I actually lived in Canada as a kid when it was under his Dad. I don't remember any type of environment like what has been happening, but I was just a kid. These days, I'm shocked how authoritarian the government became and how complacent much of the populace seemed to be about it.
As for the global tidal wave, this election has a different feel. Republicans have only had the house, senate and presidency for 10 years in the last Century (also have SCOTUS majority). It's like a tipping point was hit. Then you have the revelations going on in the UK about the government protecting rape gangs while jailing anyone who dared talk about it on social media. The UK has been invaded by Muslims hell-bent on taking it over and wiping UK culture off the map forever in a soft invasion.
The Dems in America seem to be in complete disarray, for good reason. They are rattling on about trans and prioritizing "migrants" over regular citizens as the public shows them the door. The Liberal Establishment under Obama (Diddy-linked) seems to be going down in flames. I'm thrilled to see it all happening! I say this as a lifelong liberal until 2016 when I woke up.
If he does the things he says, he'll be worlds better.

For me, a big issue is Deep State control. I saw very quickly when Trump won that the media and Deep State were going to blame Russia. I actually had no idea how crazy that would get!
I used to drink beer with some pretty high-level DC "conspiracy" journalists (Wayne Madsen) who explained to me that Obama was CIA-created, his birth certificate was fake and that he was notorious as "Bathhouse Barry." I have nothing against gay people, but Obama was a complete Deep State creation. The shit I have learned since then about the elite is actually incredibly disturbing. Ten years later, it's all coming out.

My wife is a slightly right of center and not very up to speed on current political bs…but, she has a friend that was…WAS…deep-left and is in RFK’s inner-circle…that has been an awakening for my wife and apparently I’m in-league with their thinking over in RFK-land…when it comes to MAHA…the USDA/FDA…etc.
The world of politics, as of late, has been working in such a way that it’s giving me a bit more faith in my fellow man.
