Go up to him at a gncc randomly and he’d most likely turn you in to a fan.

hot take RC was/is a douche too.

Well, I guess if they are arrogant…they have both at least earned it.

Both of them are quite literally the best to ever live at their chosen profession.

I never said he wasn't.

That's what my last sentence was for. You couldn't walk up to RC at an offroad race 25 weekends of the year and find out, especially when he was racing.

A top woods dude who's considered a dick amongst his peers is still probably 5x cooler than the nicest moto dudes. The expectation is different.

Jay C. here in Connecticut, I thought that might be you when I saw the photo and Smedley so I was thinking that has to be Mike. Hope your doing well, think I last saw you at Southwick in maybe 2000.

At his level HP is definitely a deciding factor. If you think KR could go head to head against JG 250 vs 450, youre nuts

You should look up the 2014 Ironman GNCC. Kaillub Russel won the XC1 class that day on a KTM 150SX.

Hey Jay, glad to see your still around enjoying moto. We had some good times back in the day chasing events in Connecticut as well as New England, I really enjoyed it...still can't believe it was over 30 years ago...

GNCC was a lot different series back then.

Id have to listen back but On the Pipe Podcast is the most plugged in with all this stuff. I believe it will be Landers GasGas next year, Coastal is out.

Landers KTM PR dropped today, same team as last year.

Any idea if Landers is doing a Gas Gas team too?

And what is Landers anyway?  Is it like Trail Jesters where it's just a rich dude that wants to give back or is it a company?

Also, any idea if the dudes on the Landers KTM Team are getting paid and everything for free or is it like the RPM KTM Team where they have to buy their own bikes?

Not really. That's when it was really getting open and fast. Last few seasons they've been slowing it down and making it a bit tighter

PR just dropped.  New GasGas Team is called: FlatRock Motorclub GASGAS Factory Racing Team

Jordan Ashburn and Jason Tino are the riders.

Interesting title sponsor, must be a rich dude that's into fast cars and dirtbikes: https://flatrockmotorclub.com/

I meant the depth of the field. I doubt Summers, Juha, Knight, or a Wattsy style domination could happen now.

It kind of seems that way, but then again Ben Kelley won the first six races of 2022 before having to drop out due to injury.

I dunno. Russell dominated like that too. Until he broke his wrists, Mullins was about the only guy who could challenge him. then, Thad Duvall challenged him pretty regularly, but wasn't able to stay healthy. Russell knows how to win, and the only one who can break him mentally is himself. If he believes he can win, he will. and don't count on him being unprepared fitness wise.

I see your point and agree. Kailub was a pit bull competitor. Seeing Duvalls and Mullins struggles later in their careers gives me doubts?

Pretty sure KR and his new Yammie scooter will be featured in 2025 in our new film. Sizzle reel attached.

Maybe, but that’s still impressive and Watts was an animal.

They were always pretty much stock bikes too.

Uncrate it. Win a GNCC.

Wild.
