He hasnt done freestyle besides best trick for a few years, cant believe hes coming back. First Kdub is coming back to MX and now TP199 is coming back to freestyle! whats next?

Of all the events, Pastrana's late entry into Freestyle was the most surprising considering he hasn't been training for the event, and it's not one he likes to lose at. But he's got $5-worth of motivation, which apparently is plenty. "When we were in Australia, I made a bet with Bilko that I could beat him in freestyle," Pastrana says, clarifying that he doesn't have to win, just beat Bilko, to collect the cash. "He's got a blown-out knee, I've got a broken collarbone. That even things up. I have to beat him."

Damn he is 28, crazy how time flies. Seems like just a handful of years ago he was a young kid jumping in the SF Bay after winning xgames.

Man, it'll be great to see him back out in freestyle. I remember he absolutely killed it in 2006. He threw the sickest backflip nacnac I've ever seen, completely whipped it out upside down.

I will now make it a point to watch the X-games. He adds his own character to his riding, I haven't followed FMX as closely since he left but it seemed (minus Nate Adams) everyone else looked the same besides the colors on gear and bikes.

I agree with you guys, he is the only rider that makes the full FMX runs interesting, the way he attacks to course is badass. Kind of scares me that he is going to try that same trick from last year in best trick. he hit so hard it made my spine hurt.

and to Chad and mxrider, please dont turn this into a big argument and fully derail the thread.

Would love to see Travis in person in the Freestyle. I've gone the last 3 years, it was a lot of fun.

I don't understand why so many people still say this. FMX went through a pretty boring period when the backflip was new, but the top 10 guys out there today have crazy skills on a bike. I bet their annual salaries are the same or higher than the top 10 racers too.
