Professional125 you are the absolute expert in this field. Can you answer a question about all these truck drivers from India? Do these trucking companies go to India to recruit all these guys? Why is every truck driver from India, like the red dot kind of Indian or, the call center kind of Indian? Not the feathered Indian.

I think the big Indian warrior dude with a spear and a Bengal tiger graphics on the trucks is kind of bad ass tho! The one picture of the Indian guy with all the gold chains and glasses cracks me up tho

I guess the "native Americans" have the casinos now and do not have to drive trucks?

It's a thing.

In Louisiana and south Mississippi they have started their American dream and  buying up old run down truck stops and renovating them complete with legit Indian take away food.

It's a win for me as I can stop in for $100 in cheap diesel and leave with chicken Masala and a side of Naan for after my ride.

My last post was deleted phone messed up, briefly.  A ts in Wi. Just n of Chicago has a massive problem with aggressive behavior, stolen equipment, cargo, etc. a manager said hey u hv to work more hrs tomorrow to. The girl looked tired I joked u might want to do your stretches. Both arms above my head doing a lean ovr & running in place  always funny, we joked around. And they said we researched it ovr 100 countries take there CDL test in there country then come here with no training the 1099,s & w2 co.s. Hire them.  Pilot & flying j hv a co policy that they r to Never go past the lit up fuel island at night. Because of there employees that where assaulted.  Ts managers r going out of there minds , master degree managers of warehouses express there flustration to me. A illegal that don’t know how to read goes into the main property & starts a fight with a 73 yr old. He is supposed to read the sign , park , call a # & give ld info po with 23 numbers starting with a 804 , clean your trailer, etc.  but no he wants to take a 73 yr olds dock . The only English if any they know is I,m 1st .  The manager said I called the police 5 times there sick of being here . Can you make him leave plz.  We can’t get a ld picked up or get fuel they tired so they park blocking 6 fuel lanes, 3-4 get out in daylight drop there shorts & crap rt at the fuel island.  It’s crazy & violent you hv to b on edge ready for a knife or gun on ya. Like last summer after 38 hrs running I,m walking in to get sandwiches or ?  A drugged out of his mind yelling African in the dark i didn’t see him all dressed in black. Till a billionth a sec I see a knife swinging in towards my stomach. Bang perfect shot to the jaw he landed on his back. I just kept waking in that how crazy it is, like that’s normal now.  I,m part Indian not enough to get anything but I do speak Iroquoin Oneida tribe language.  Federal crime to speak it in the 70,s. In 5th grade cutting cabbage with English speaking farmers, Dutch I,m 1/2 , German spoke there language mainly , Mexican migrants workers spoke there language The Indians spoke English after a few days they figured they could trust people. They spoke there language.  On break they put there plate of food on the ground. I said why your gonna get ants in your food. They said so Sacred Mother Earth can bless it. They do a lot of stuff like that , it didn’t bother anyone. I thought it was interesting everyone speaking different languages but that’s field work. Not trucking where communication is nessesary . When a real irritating illegal bothers me I speak that language & not English. Haha .

They own a lot of the convenience stores around me. Friendly people, I like them.

They work very hard, have family members that work with them. One guy I talked to works 7 days a week, going back to India to see his parents for a 2-3 week period once a year.

I've come to the conclusion they are more American then most Americans born here, if that's a thing. They work hard and are family oriented.

We love good Indian food.

One place in Boone, another in west Knox get a lot of our business.

But there's a gas station on my way home from work, where I make a point of stopping.

Indian owned.

The family is polite, grateful for you business.

And they have a small room in the back where they dish out polak paneer that puts our two favorites restaurants to shame.

Took her a while to believe me when I told her the best shit comes from the back room of a Shell gas station.

I’ve never had good Indian food around here, or anywhere domestically. But whenever I’m in London, the Indian food there is fantastic. I’m not sure why there’s a difference.

My boss sold one of his race trailers last week. Dude that didn't speak very good english shows up to get it. Said he's been in the states about 8 months doing the paperwork to become a US citizen and all that and has about $14k in lawyer/gov. fees to do all that. Once thats done because he is already married and his wife if still in whatever country they're from she will automatically be a US citizen when she gets here because he is. He earns $8,500+/wk and out of that he rents the semi for $1,800/wk, fuel, maintenance, food, ect. Pays another guy $1k/wk to go with him so the truck is always rolling.

Guy I know is a mechanic at a large dealership , he has shown me some pics of trucks that they refuse to service. he said all truck drivers can be pigs but certain one's are on the next level! They do a lot of team driving. I could not imagine living in a truck like that with another person

I don't know what the current DOT rules are (pro would know) about how many hours a single driver can be behind the wheel but a "TEAM" used to be able to roll 24/7.  Only stop for fuel.

These fly by night trucking companion can throw a couple of foreign fellas in a ragged out rig and run them till the truck dies...or they do.  They just live in the truck.  Maybe they get paid or maybe their family back home doesn't get dead as long as they keep rolling.

It ain't good.

If running legal, 22 hours a day is all the truck can be rolling down the highway as DOT rules are 11 per day per driver. Teams usually use that time for showers and shopping.

In the loose leaf days you could get away with anything if you were good enough at math. The early days of elogs you could manipulate the system pretty easily by only setting trailer brakes and not the tractor brakes as that would log a stop at location, whereas if you only pulled the trailer you could "log out" and get another couple hours of driving in.

The problem comes when you get somewhere and a trooper asks how you went from point a to point b in x time, then writes you a speeding ticket because the only way that would be possible is if you were rolling a 90mph average. hahaha

Perfect example of all of them, none of them know anything.  They always ask me for help and with a high friendly enthusiasm I always help them.  I think there a trip & kinda interesting.  But how can you be here & not know anything.  1,800 s week for trk rent or lease ?  There’s ovr 800k trks sitting for sale in Chicago. 400 bucks is the rent now.  8,500 gross a week @ 15k a week your breaking even.  They pull the cheapest freight that pays nothing not enough to break even.  Ne to the west or criss cross the country, that’s all you see now is 1099 co.s.   Life is about life experiences working for 10 1099,s .  I never saw anything so weird & unusual in a movie.  But 1# there extremely dangerous & there equipment is f ing garbage.  Almost 3 inches shorter within 2 yrs, that’s a beating.  Jan 1 a couple yrs ago I pull into a warehouse to pu, I read the sign back into docks 224-244 then walk to office.  I,m walking in & I see a driver with a turbin on. I say Bonsure happy new yr. He says it back then says some day I would like to b at your level, in that funny accent.  I say hey man anyone can b almost as good as me . Haha and I told him a few secrets and how to get there.  And 1 day will never make you rich or wealthy, don’t ever take stupid chances, but 1 day or decision will get you killed. Those bros really like adventure & traveling & seeing our huge country. So we hv that in common. Only a few turbin bros where cool I even told them if I had a big band with 40 I would hv to get you in the band. Can you dance ? I would do a dance then tell him do it. He does & it’s funny as hell s couple warehouse bros hanging out where all laughing. I say I ,ll hv ya throw a short lyric in & give a break from your dancing. Haha I always treat them like a old school trucker brother and they dig that.  I,m not the government that brings them in.  I like to enjoy the time out there even tho your pushed 4 every second .  Being angry for weeks or months doesn’t work for me.

Trust me bro you can cheat Elog & run 40+ hrs 7 days a week. Same principle as yrs ago trk is governed at 80 . Old rule of 10 hrs driving = 800 miles.  But you drove 180 mi in 10 hrs in the ne.  Tanker Job Chicago to the ne cities. 55 mph iL. 60 mph Ohio toll rd. We dip a q tip in Mr clean & run it ovr the time and date on the toll ticket.  The dot would try to right us a ticket but couldn’t. A pack of 20 trks running wo across usually they didn’t pull us ove because we backed it down where there shooting there lazer pistols. Because we knew where ever bear was.  Oh I lost my log book I must hv left it in the ts when I stopped for dinner and play video games. The fine was nothing.  Haha . We used to do that stop and play 3or 4 on a shooting game, grab a sandwich , or spend time with a women. I hauled chocolate there always happy to see me. then hit the rd.  The trucks where fast 80-138 mph so you could get way ahead of time.  Where your a state ahead of where you should be.  Example of a 1099 text to Lithuania yes people living there. I prefer calling to get more hrs because there a trip, like big time. Look at the time stamps that’s how quick you can get more hrs . Way faster than grabbing another log book. I text need more hrs etc and never stop .  Where given ghost bol,s.  If a bol has a time stamp.  Funny 1 time I was running the q tip to get rid of it and I rubbed a hole threw the paper while drinking coffee trying to wake up. Hot Lithuania Ana says what is that the officer will know .  I said I lost it in a high wind rain storm and had to dive on it.  She said yeah but only in 1 place. I said if your so worried about it I,ll add another hole.  Then I said who is this because she’s usually cool. She ssid Ana.  I said oh you sound really different when your mad.  She laughed , I said don’t worry about it that a old school trick that worked for decades. IMG 1352

I was in a little shock on that 1 . Next morning I,m in the ts i laughed bro where you in the strip club across the st lastnight?  He said where etc. he was really cool from South Africa probably mid 50,s.

I had back to back days of phone iL. Chicago labor dept court hearings.  Day 2 co #2 I briefly told the judge on how we r forced to run 7 days a week 20-40+ hrs straight for months with no day off.  He raised his voice & cut me off.  I 1st mentioned I was trained at the biggest pipeline co in the world by a Lieutenant colonel of the state police & in charge of the world’s strongest horizontal drill rig trk line.   State police of iL. In the Bolingbrook area r paid off to let the 1099 trks run illegal & run junk .  I had a Lithuanian co saying I had to hv a equipment inspection b4 I left at a desolate trk yard. I said no I,m doing it rt here at thortons a tiny ts.  I gave them a 2 week notice & kinda got into it with my Russian dispatch.  Like a class a felony is 10k you owe me 60k . I,ll make some calls and get you charged with wage theft , hv fun in prison then push you get you deported . These co.s murder you then.  I talked to a black state police officer at the ts. He covered up his cam & said something like your a old school driver. A finger ovr his lips and said I can’t get involved in that man.  Same co a African was swearing & yelling you steal our money , you run us as slaves all morning. He called the Bolingbrook police & said they stole my money. It was crazy but kinda of funny.  Extra muscle showed up 6,7- 6,11 guys but then the police where there. So they couldn’t do nothing.  They say to me what’s the problem. I said I,m not the problem here so why do you ask the question?   They think I,m a fbi under cover of a organized crime pi.  Which is funny as hell. Just because I,m not afraid of them.  A few times 28-30 of them threaten me because I mentioned my checks being clipped.  What a guy will do to go racing

Man, has that ever morphed into nothing more than a slopestyle event.

Hardly anything is run on natural terrain anymore.

Yup or more drivers.  When they break down & r in a ta shop. The poor mechanic sees doo sprayed all ovr the bottom on the equipment.  He refuses to work on it the manager calls the police. And the equipment is impounded for bio hazard reasons.  All these co.s that hire the drivers that take there CDL is 1 of the 100+ countries.  Really effected everyone’s wages.  The last 2 yrs with the crashed rates & pay. I was going LTL but they don’t get 40 hrs. Then I was going to pull doubles, triples that pay is cut in 1/2+ .  250-300 per day now.  So basically there is no money in the industry anymore.  S of Indy 300  Pakistan trks sitting at a ts. Deny and pretend all you want. Its how it happens. Many countries have the trucking industry rapidly going this way.
India is a powerhouse and everyone fixates on China’s expansion.
