Andrew Short will WIN at High Point

Edited Date/Time 1/26/2012 7:19pm
I'm almost positive Andrew Short will win this weekend. I bet he takes last weeks frustration and uses it as motivation to come out swinging like the true champion he is. You heard it here first, Andrew Short #29 will win this weekend! Go SHORTY!

Hopefully, after the win, he will be in good spirits and will post a video longer than the 2 minute video he posted this week. That was the lamest video yet.

Hahaha, he will be too busy having nightmares of the images of Chad Reed jumping over him at HP last year.

Short is a great rider but he appears to be incapable of winning.

Let's hope he does. I'm the biggest Andrew Short fan you can meet, but it just seems like his speed is not at where it needs to be right now. I'm hoping he can come out swinging this weekend though.

I wish this thread was started by Shorty himself. I would love to hear from him "I'm going to win this week". All we ever hear from him is I'm going to do my best and see where I end up. I understand that's all he can really do but he's capable of winning so does that mean he never does his best? He for sure has the speed to beat any one of these guys on any given weekend and has proved it. He has beaten everyone on the line straight up on a MX track more then once so why can't he beat them when they're in the lead. Andrew is a bit of a mystery to me because of that. He's one of those guys that if he could win just once I believe the flood gates would open I'm just not to sure that's ever going to happen. I sure wish it would though.

Want to put some money on it? I'm down, I'll give you $25 if he wins, you give me $5 (yes, five) if he doesn't?

Short seems a little like John Dowd when Dowd started running at the front. I remember Dowd back in 94' saying he kind of freaked out the first race he led for very long. (minus his famous win in 91' at Hangtown) ........but obviously Dowd learned how to ride in the lead......Short seems to have never gotten comfortable with it.

OK that made me smile.

I think he can win. I think his problem is that he has the physical ability to win but not the mental ability. You have to beleive you can win before you can actually win.

The thing is if all Shorty needed was "Frustration" to win races he'd be a champ 3 or 4 times over by now. In my humble opinion he just needs to believe he can win, simple to say but hard to do.

Really.. you can guarantee that? I strangly remember someone named Matt Georke winning an overall last year. You don't think thier is a possibility of shorty layin wood.

That's the problem. Matt Georke and Justin Brayton put it together but Andrew Short always seems to fall short.

I saw a video of Hannah once where he is sitting at the gate as they announce him, of course the whole crowd cheers. He turns to the guy next to him and say's " I gotta win now or they will all be pissed off at me". Excellent. No pansy PR. I always thought it would be fun if a top guy before the race says "I think I will win by two minutes"Then if he does not win he could say "Well I totally blew it but wait till next time" or something to that effect. I seems a lot of these guys are superstitious and think if they say they will just go out and try it appeases an unknown force and helps them win.But then hey RC never said he would go out and spank everyone and then proceeded to do so.

I could see Pourcel saying that but many Americans don't like to hear that from a French dude.

I wouldn't mind hearing that from any of the greats.

I think you guys are a bunch of asshats. BItter, sour and hard from years of negativity. Like mindless sheep you herd into one predictable dumbass group. Short is a true winner...go watch his videos and see for yourself. Haters.

It's hard to hate on a guy like Shorty. I've never met him, but he seems like the nicest, coolest guy, does those way cool videos himself, strong, tough, has talent and balls that I'd kill to have... He just doesn't seem to have the enough to be a winner against the current crop of talent at the top.

Another Windham? That's not a bad thing.

Short is a good guy, but it takes more than that to win a motocross race.
