Webster delivered on his role to facilitate team Australia’s inaugural win, but who had him as the second placed 250 rider in race one?
No one I bet. Like Webb, he’s a full time 450 rider who stepped up in a time of need, with all the pressure in the world to deliver.
However, unlike most of the field, this guy doesn’t race AMA or MXGP, and yet he dove straight in the deep end against the world’s best, on the world’s biggest stage, against guys he doesn’t normally race, and mixed it up with the elite.
Between this showing and his impressive cameos at two Nationals this year, it’d be a travesty if no one gives Webster a full time shot on the big stage.
Hate to say it, but his talents are being wasted racing Australian titles.

Agreed, American Honda should snap him up for the outdoor 250 class, I wonder how Kyle would go in SX?
His rides in the AMA nationals went under the radar due to some early crashes, but he still did well. He definitely fits in with elite competition, Aussie nationals are not slow either.
MXGP Kawi asked about him after his AMA races but decided he was too old.
Shame he deserves a break but has signed up to Konsky again for next year.
Think he paid his own way to stay at the Dog pound for 5 weeks prepping too.
Webster is no slouch at SX, but outdoors is where he shines Damn shame there’s not more opportunities for motocross specialists, especially given how much of a meat grinder the SX season is.
And age shouldn’t matter either, you’re either good enough or you’re not.

I hope Webster takes in the moment and enjoys every minute of it, because this might end up being the highlight of his career.
But I hope he gets the chance to improve upon it. Seems like a good kid.
Yeah and good on Yarrive for supporting that, but I feel like Webster deserves a legitimate shot at a full season.
Great ride! Where is the “big stage” ?
Yesterday, it was at Matterley Basin!
Yeah he really stepped up! Way to go Webster!
Hes not even 30 yet is he?
