Something weird happened last night. He was going good, and all of a sudden he really slowed down. I wonder if he thought something wasn't right with his bike and was being careful for a bit to make sure it was cool? After a lap he wicked it back up again, but that was too late.

Windham was hauling last night...something had to be up when he slowed down so much. He has good raw speed when he tries. That one rhythm section he was doing was awesome.

First, you take way too much offense to anything about alessi, but I didn't dodge the question. Why can't he have one off race? When Millsaps won, Kevin got a bad start and ran the same pace as Saps. Sometimes, weird, I know, people ride good on certain days and tracks, so just because someone finishes 2nd instead of 1st one week doesn't mean they're falling apart.

The way it looked on SPEED, I would say that he fell apart, especially since he was so fast in his heat race.

Okay this thread tells me nothing about WTF w/Windham. (congratulations on your sweet success BobbyM). He was hammerdown right behind Reed for half the race then WTF?

Does anyone know what happened to Windham?

I watched the race in person. It looked like KW had the speed but he made some mistakes in the ruts; maybe the added pressure of a rookie rider and Millsaps/Short go to him a little bit? We have seen him have "mind problems" in the past. Still 6th isnt too bad. I'm sure KW will have some better days, hes one of the greatest ever without a doubt.

Windam is a head case always has been always will be. I have heard from alot of people that practicing he is the fastest there ever was and no one can touch him, but you get to the race and his head kicks in.

That's tough to hear because I've always liked his style (reminiscent of De Coster). But it kinda makes sense, I hate to admit. RC on the other hand was one tough mental MF'er, always snatching a victory. Talent, it turns out, isn't all that's needed to win mains.

I was really hoping KW would be the foil this year for Reed.

Quit talking about first and second place finishes to BobbyM. He's an MA fan so you lost him when you started talking top 5's.
