1/26/2012 10:46pm I heard Lakewood national MIGHT be going under lights this year. How cool would that be us for colorado motocrossers. That means i can take my son without the risk of burning up. Erik

Erik (MD) Started a new thread Question for Dads?
1/25/2012 10:20am When did you get your son or daughter on a dirtbike for the first time. I'm thinking of not buying him a bike till he learns to ride a bicycle with no training wheels. Any opinions? Erik

Erik (MD) Started a new thread If you where DMG what....
1/20/2012 1:42am If you where DMG what....tracks would you keep and what track would you ditch? Here are my observations. A national needs to be held in the southeast. IMO Budds Creek, Red Bud, Hangtown and Lakewood will definetely stay. What tracks do you think will either lose their national or what new track might gain a national? Erik

4/16/2016 6:29pm
I say tear out all concrete starts.[/quote:174yjiws] As much I agree with you on this one, we need them for amatuer mtocross. Thundervalley and berthoud gets foot deep rut by the end of the day. At least Erie, Aztec and Milliken rpovide consistant starts. With saying all of that, I hate starting on concrete, but I hate more starting at...

Erik (MD) Added a reply to The 'NOT SO AMATEUR'-Amateur Nationals
4/16/2016 6:25pm
Chilli, that AND heck ya bring all the big stuff to these "amatuer" races, but not for one or two riders, show up and help all the ones on your brands, like they do now, but not just one or three riders specifically. Add the money saved to bigger contingency money to the A classes and PRo am classes. Let...

3/18/2008 2:01pm I think you will see the Southeast getting a national and at least one favorite getting dropped. I think either Southwick, Unadilla or Washougal will be gone. Erik

4/16/2016 6:23pm I don't want to get anal, but when Reed stepped into the 250 class in 03 he actually won more races than RC that year. He had two off races(sixth in both) and if it was for those race she would of one the title. hH lost the title by only 7 points. He did not have a learing curve...

4/16/2016 6:22pm

He raced big bikes in the GP's Adaptation shouldn't be an issue[/quote:3vl3sup0] They said that about Reed too. He obviously came around but they all have their learning curve. If I were a betting guy, I'd say Townley will be a top 5 guy in 450's in 09' and then will be a full throttle threat to win it...

4/16/2016 6:21pm
Just something else to fix, go bad, and add cost to the bike. Does it make it run faster? Burn less fuel? Do we care?[/quote:19wg88m3] Yes it actually does burn less fuel. Erik

4/16/2016 6:21pm
Well for one My bike is about as stock as they get no stroker, no bore kit if you wanna check go ahead. I also think your getting carried away with the dirty rider thing, it is arenacross thats what happens. If you have been around it for so long then you probley should know that. If you have been...

3/7/2008 6:28am I really hope NPG somehow gets together with ESPN and make an alternate series to this. I'm very curious to see what tracks will be in the future and how long the series will be. Erik

3/5/2008 7:51am Would the OEM's follow AMA/NASCAR or go to a renegade NPG/ESPN promoted series?? That is the 64,000 question? Erik

4/16/2016 6:18pm
HGH is very easy to get, and actually not really that expensive. I find it hard to belive that Ryno would be pushing the shit though. That guy wont even use a microwave because he thinks it will taint his food. [/quote:9euyk115] You have no clue. Good HGH is very hard to get compared to anabolic steriods. Anabolics are a...

Erik (MD) Added a reply to This doesn't happen in SX/MX
4/16/2016 6:16pm
Why would it.... MX/SX won't EVER be anything bigger than it is, EVEN if you changed everything..... Will skateboarding be the next Nascar? How about Snocross, Tractor pulls, Midget cars, Go carts.... Track and Field.... You guys who think MX is the next big thing are just being silly... its a major fringe sport, but a fringe sport non the...

4/16/2016 6:16pm
Now they just need to get a beer vendor (Coors?) to come in. Last year they had no beer sales there and, at 3:05 pm in Colorado, when the moto's are deep into themselves and it's 101 degrees and a man's mouth is dangerously dusty-dry, he oughta be able to buy a frickin' beer. I know I've run this...

I dont think most of you really comprehend how fast these guys are. Sure night races are fine and dandy for LOCAL races where most people stay in 1st 2nd and 3rd gear half throttle but these guys are pushing the bikes to the absolute limit...
