curious to find out if he has ever won a pro race he didnt holeshot.........seems if he has to battle or come from behind i dont remember him ever winning..........soon as he started battling at G.H with cairoli i knew he wouldnt prevail as i dont remember him ever doing it unless he got a holeshot and was never passed.....seems to be his achilles heel.......i know he has the speed but not the mental game of actually " racing"........i am sure someone knows

I can't think of a race he won without holeshotting off the top of my head except one and technically he didn't win that one except on paper. Last year at hangtown. In the 2nd moto he didn't holeshot or finish the moto 1st but after JG was penalized for the whole jumping on the yellow/red flag soap opera Mikey had officially won on the scorecard. Other then that I can't think of one but I'm sure there was at least one in his lites days.

Has he ever even won at glen helen? From the way the announcer was talking at the GP you would think he was the fastest rider to ever race the Glen Helen circuit.

Nope .. He didn't win GH his first year when the whole incident with Tadesco happened. He won the first moto but had other plans in moto 2 that year..lol Then in 06 he finished 2nd to RV on lites.. Then 07 2nd to langston on the 450, then 08 2nd too JS.. 09 2nd to RV again and last week 2nd to Cairoli..

1st moto at Glen Helen 05.. And 1 moto at red bud and 1 moto at high point both in 06..And Hangtown 09 the 1st moto.. That's all I can come up with for 800 winning without holeshotting. He won quite a few motos in 05 and early 06 but the majority of them were won with holeshots.


I'm not discounting his wins or anything because a wins a win and the start is a huge part of that.

Technically he did holeshot hangtown last year but fell a couple of corners later and had to pick a few riders off to win.
