This isn’t a real championship, so money is about the only thing worth hyping up about it.

”Money”

”SMX WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP”

”Winner takes all”

And trying endlessly to hype up battles and scenarios that never plays out. Like the Lawrence brothers taking eachother out for one million dollars…

Just reminds me of the vapid droning of stick and ball sports where we say athlete X makes $Y dollars and everyone drools and its cringe.

talk about money will end when a top rider smokes a exposed cement barrier on live tv.  Really we can't find some more of those hard ass tough blocks to put more advertising on?  100's of ft of concrete and one wrong mistake by a rider and its going to get pretty ugly.

Time to figure out a little more safety protocols.

The amount of times I heard the question "What do you do with the money??" on the desk interviews and press conference I wish someone would have said this. 😆

Doing what he's told by the ones to pay him, dammed if you do, or if you dont.

Fuck, weege was rough to listen to last night. Nothing but talking about how much money each rider would make if they finished where they were at 2 laps into every race. Dude just kept screaming any time anyone did anything. It’s blatantly over the top and borderline obnoxious. He was insanely corny last night. AC and JB killed it though.

Or the first lap in the second 250 moto: IF IT ENDED LIKE THIS VIALLE WOULD TAKE THE MONEY.

yeah, well it’s 20 minutes of racing left calm down and let the race settle for a couple of laps before you start talking about every possible outcome of the race…

I usually like Weege, but damn seems like he's just eating up whatever notes he's being given by the producers. He was given his dream job and he's absolutely not going to push back at all.

Everyone has a price, I guess?

Points, double Points, triple Points……. What do you think they are racing for points for? A trophy?

As TFS would say …. Follow the $$$$$$

If it only were on the broadcast but in every podcast he guests he act the same.

Steve and JT are bench racing while Weege try as hard as he can to just sell the whole SMX ”excitment”.

I’ve had a hard time regarding his broadcast performance for a couple of years now but liked him at Pulp before. But now it feels like he has become the TV person full time.

Weigandt was being himself. He has always modeled himself after ESPN and traditional sports announcers. I’m not (entirely) mad at him, but I do mute the broadcast for most of the race.

I’d mute it too but the sound is so much part of the program.

James Stewart, AC, JB. Horrendously unpopular opinion but I’ll take Will too - she try’s hard and I appreciate that.

Off topic but it has to go somewhere - I’m disappointed in Vital as a whole because I have seen zero mention of the other woman who wore the leather romper. What the heck was that..?

“It puts the lotion on its skin” energy at the broadcast desk😂😂

Yeah, I thought she was better dressed than AC and Brayton. At least her style sort of matched the Monster girls; those guys looked like they were dressed for their 6th grade school photos..
