Anyone want to argue how a 6'4 300lb D-Lineman in college or the NFL is more fit or has more endurance than any of these guys? SX was never a completely iron-man sport...but 45 second lap times? No wonder RC dominated...he didn't take any of the ease for granted.

Reed designed the track...are you surprised the laptimes were so short?

45 seconds? Are you shitting me? 9 minute race? When motocross was the shit it was 45 minutes plus 2 laps. Now its 9 minutes. SX is now officially fag only.

The funny thing about this is that I would expect it from James, not Reed.

i was there tonight. Fireworks, a bunch of yelling on a PA system that couldn't understand, then the bikes started up and then you couldn't hear anything. Track has some really tuf timing sections, very little "good" racing a couple of laps RV was putting on a show coming on hard after the fall. 2-5 in the 450's was good for a little bit.

But yep, we spent what 12 minutes giving the owner of the friggin stadium a jersey and making a big deal out of the fact this was the "last" race in the RCA dome............then he gets on there and says "ya it will be hard with the new 750,000,000.00 stadium across the street to pile all this dirt in there." I guess ya have kiss some butt to dirty up his new place!

oh and by the way, I may second guess the COST'S of putting on that event........ they still make a shit load of money, and they should still pay the riders more...............but there is a crap load of staff running around, hell they sweep off the sponosors logos on the tuf blocks.......

All the reasons I didn't go to Houston this year and didn't miss it. For my family to go, it winds up being a $200 night, and you basically see a 12 minute 250F main and a 16 minute 450 main plus real short heat races. If you take out all the fireworks and stuff, you see less than one hour of racing, most of which is heat races where the good riders all transfer anyway unless something bad happens.

Yes, it's racing, and yes, it's fun, but for $200 my son and I can go riding quite a few times.
