From American Flat Track - Jared Mees Racing concludes his career with an epic victory at the #LakeOzarkST 
Mees’ résumé is far too extensive to list here in full, but in brief, this championship triumph updates his Grand National Championship victory tally to now include 2009, 2012, 2014, 2015, 2017, 2018, 2021, 2022, 2023, and 2024. He also ranks first or second in the career wins rankings for Half-Miles, Short Tracks, Miles, and total GNC Main Event victories.
Mees, who elevated an already Hall-of-Fame-worthy career to stratospheric heights once he joined forces with Indian Motorcycle in 2017, sent the marque’s remarkable FTR750 out in appropriate fashion this season.
This championship secures the bike a perfect eight-for-eight record in Grand National Championship battles in what will go down as one of the most dominant eras the sport has ever witnessed from both man and machine.

For what it's worth, he was at Supercoop in Michigan this summer riding and the guy totally rips on a motocross bike. Like A level speed.
shame Dallas Daniels got hurt as i think it would have been a hell of a battle,
not sure if the indian helped or hurt FT, i seem to remember the super twins produaction class gettign pretty good, and with the restricted Harley being competitive but not dominating it was a good mix, the purpose built FT750 is a weapon, but a one make class will always have its limitations, and they never came through with the production, version they were said to have promised, i see hte scout motor is legal for next season, ill be interested to see if anyone runs one,
I don’t follow this series at all but 10x champ is an impressive statistic.

The HD XR750 was dominant for decades, Harley fielded factory teams with up to three riders. Now Indian dominates and gets outlawed? Other brands could have stepped up, I believe the production-based equipment was allowed to run 900cc the Indians run a 750cc.
Tony Bou has many more. Without looking into stats I would guess he’s the most dominant motorcyclist of all time. RC is probably second on that list
It’s not as easy as “other brands could have stepped up.” There are two sides on the issue of the FTR, and both are understandable.
The people running the series told all stakeholders years ago that the Twins class would be going to production-based engines, phasing out race-only engines like the XR750. The XR was a bit long in the tooth, a lot of maintenance to keep running, and parts were getting harder to obtain. Kawasaki twins were starting to win races, and even won a championship. Harley shifted their emphasis towards the XG750.
Suddenly Indian came out of the woodwork, declared that they wanted to build a modern, race-only bike that would be available to the general public, and threw a bunch of money into the sport of flat track. Which was great! So the future plans of the premier class changed, and it did not go to a production-based rules package. Flat track seemed to be on an upswing, after being in a bit of a lull for a few years.
Understandably, companies like Harley were a bit pissed that they were told one thing, and then AFT decided to go a different direction. And from a realistic standpoint, building a bike like the FTR750 does not make financial sense.
The differences in the 2024 rules between what’s allowed for the production engines and the race-only engines is substantial. No matter what, when the rules are that far apart between bikes that are racing together, you will never make enough people happy to make it all work. They really neutered the FTR this season to try and make the production bikes more competitive. The Estenson Yamaha twins are incredible machines, but some of their liberties were taken away 2024… but they still had traction control this season. A bike with traction control and a heavier rear wheel, racing against a bike without TC that can’t even use a heavier flywheel and has to use a lighter rear wheel… just one example of how it’s hard to create a formula that makes everyone happy.
The whole thing is a can of worms that never should’ve happened in the first place. Now that the FTR will be eliminated, the Estenson Yamaha is going to be substantially better than the rest. Next time anyone wants to talk about how Feld or MX Sports is doing a shit job, take a look into the world of AFT and what the people running that show are doing. You’ll want to hug and apologize to the “powers that be” running MX and SX.
None of that should take away from the fact that Mees is one of the baddest dudes to ever swing a leg over a motorcycle. 10 championships is incredible. A true business-savvy professional who takes his craft very seriously, and has assembled his own team to do things his own way. .Not only that, he’s the best race promoter that AFT had, as well. Really looking forward to seeing what he comes up with on the promotion side of things this coming year… if anyone can save the sport of flat track, it’s him.

Agree on this, I ride there weekly and have seen Jared there quite a bit and dude def hauls ass on a dirtbike too.
Really cool and a bad dude - American flat track is a lot crazier than a lot of people think.
Most of us motocrossers would wet our pants trying to ride a dirt mile on one of those beasts.
