These threads.. SMX was boring, too many people in the booth, will sux, track was lame blah blah blah
We got to watch some awesome racing, Deegan ripping through the pack both motos..
Eli with a comeback, Jett putting in an incredible first ride back, and the 450 race coming down to the last lap.. what’s not to love??
If you didn’t get to watch SMX today then what would u have done?
Was thinking about this earlier. It appears that folk ain't happy unless they find something to bitch about.
With social media nowadays, everyone has a voice but it's the continous negative shit that gets me.
Your post above is where we all should be. More of the positive stuff needs to be focussed on.
I'm grateful that I got to watch some great racing this morning and I'm looking forward to next weekend.
I thought that track was awesome and I really like the high speed and you can see how fast they are really going. I would like to see this style of track several time a season for the SX series. 😎 and the 65cc class put on a hell of a show also.
The big bike racing was great, but those little dudes on the 65s were another level. I couldn’t imagine being that gnarly when I was that age.
It was pouring rain here in upstate NY, perfect timing fir watching some supermotocross…was hoping RJ would punt deegans but …he punted himself…

I’m all in on this post. I’m so over the negativity trains. I come on here to read about the race and am bombarded with negative posts. It’s depressing… there’s plenty of cool shit total about, not sure what has caused this place to be so negative all the time.
It’s not whining, it’s justified criticism. People are entitled to their opinion, and this is a place designed for them to post it. You’re allowed to like the broadcast, others are allowed not to. Get over it.
Right on. As fans, we get mega-focused on the most important events of the moment, and all types of viewpoints get posted on the discussion forum. Whining about the “whining” is somehow better?
Yes, as they post on their smart phones that exist because someone took the bricks from 2001, criticized, and improved upon them. I’m not going to apologize for seeing the potential for improvement and voicing my opinion. Anyone who has a problem with this can kick rocks.
For the most part negative comments are coming from folks who are at a bad place in life, struggling, unsuccessful at anything they do, just want to complain or are drunk. We’ve all been there from time to time..
Just ignore ..
I am happy to give kudos when due. The racing was outstanding.
I was also pleasantly surprised to see a camera change in the last 450 Moto where Deegen was scrubbing his cheeks off. It allowed you to see Tomac and Jett push into the inside corner and how gnarly they were getting on the throttle to stay on top of the acceleration bumps in the rut.
Sorry for that ramble sentence but it was a thought.
Last thought, hearing Tomac vs everyone else is hilarious
There are a small minority of folks who are only happy being unhappy.
Then they try to grow their circle getting others to join in.
It’s all about growing your tribe, unhappy folks trying to get happy folks to jump ship or happy folks trying to get the miserables to see the light.
Should be a game show I’m thinking.
250 class was absolutely awesome. Deegan coming through the pack both motos. Dude is exciting to watch. 450 class was fine. Just Calculated and controlled like normal.
I think they all realize with double and triple points at the next two, you just don't want to fuck up the first round. Winning it doesn't really matter.
Sadly it’s what this forum has become.
It’s understandable why riders don’t interact on these forums with the way it is. Shane McElrath only posts when he puts a YouTube video up. And Justin Starling and Chiz used to come on here occasionally.
Thank for clearing that up! 🤣
I thought the track was awesome with its spilt sections and even split lanes. Right off the bat, lil’ Deegs made it very clear that you CAN pass on these tracks. The racing, in general, was awesome. Seeing Eli remind everyone that’s he’s still in it…? Well, that was refreshing and perfectly played.
The sand sections are a bit more legit than we get in SX, the “full pull” high speed sections are spectacular on tv.
One safety observation that’s got me concerned: the concrete barriers…they’re too exposed and need to be covered in areas where riders can land on them. RJ’s crash made this very apparent. While he didn’t end up “impacting” or landing ON a wall…the opportunity for that happening was a bit too obvious.
The SMX races are awesome and they’re a great way to end a year of racing.
so you start a thread whining about too many people whining on a moto forum that is the place to come and post your opinions about all things moto including everything you mentioned… isn’t that ironic, don’t you think?
edit: 6 people need safe spaces evidently 😂
Agreed 100% and RJ’s crash I thought for sure he was hurt. Railing those Split rail berms made a great place for setting up the pass.
Excellent SMX track that was neither a national or a SX style track. IMO it is a 3rd new type of dirt bike Pro racing.
Just wish they would chop a few west coast, open air SX races to allow for the SMX/big money races at the end of the year.
When you have the top 3 finishers talking about it at a post race presser, you know damn good and well, it's an issue all through the paddock.
I think it was great. My only complaint was that the concrete barriers were not protected. I was worried when RJ went off and hit one.
Pit Row
lol. Now THAT’S a stupid comment. I bitch about a number of things here, usually broadcast-related, especially Will and RC, and I am none of the things your describe. Some of us simply have higher standards in our expectations of those delivering content about the highest level athletes in the sport we love. I truly get sick of how they dumb the broadcast down to the lowest level, and how they consistently miss critical race moments because Will is blathering about some bullshit.
Only thing im bitching about is i rented a boom lift for the weekend and missed the race because i was trimming trees and pressure washing the house and missed the SMX and the MXGP.
Yep, those that thought the track was lame should never be allowed to watch Moto again.
I'm grateful to have watched the way Jett and Deegan scrubbed the double before the straight.
I thought that as well. If RJ had landed a metre or two to the left on that rhythm section he would have shoulder barged a concrete wall.
There was a guy bitching about people/riders trying to grow the sport.

Amazing stuff.
For years we have seen bitching about Robots on the podium no personality, Jett comes along and we shut him down now he's doing his best Dungey impression.
Oh yeah and....
