Man, I don’t know know about you guys but I’m in that age group where these lads are 4-6 years older then me and there the ones I followed the most the last 10-14 years and it’s crazy for me that there on the last years of there career! It’s going to be sad for me to see them go, what they have brought to the sport people won’t appreciate the most till there gone all have different personalties which makes them elite! For me Deano has always been my favourite, I always think people don’t realise how narly he is still towards the end of his career with all the injuries, he would be where Tomac and Anderson are with out them still, made the most of the cards he was dealt and had a awesome career! Let’s appreciate these lads there last couple years as they all came in the same time and have been unreal for the sport!
I’m the same age as these guys, which is why I’ll call them “my generation,” but these guys including Roczen, Barcia, Malcom are a generation of riders that have set a new standard for longevity of riding at an elite level.
On the plus side it makes guys like plessinger look fast. And yeah I think sexton was faster on the Honda (but bit the dust too often)

Pretty wild to think in 2022 Anderson won 7 supercross races and was 9 points behind Eli at the end of the year, he was on fire man.

Deano is part time, Tomac announced that next year is absolutely his last year, and Anderson probably has another two max 3 in him. It’s coming to a end

Wild to think that other than Lawrence's, J.Coop, Sexton and Prado.. majority of the top 15 450 riders will be hanging up the boots within the next few years.
Hypothetical, But who in the 250 class other than Deegan and Vialle pointing out, is ready to move up to fill the gates or even ready to take on the 450 rides? majority of the 250 class now are in the mid 20's because of injuries and haven't been able to complete a season.
Kinda in this weird time line, riders have had longer careers. Riders are going pro later in the years and yet.. Not many riders are ready to transition to the 450. Kinda weird to think of what the 450 main event gate will look like in 2027.
How old is Cooper Webb? Has he been mentioned? Seems like he's been around as long as Tomac, Anderson and Wilson...but maybe I'm wrong. I know he's had some injuries of late, and that has been a challenge...but he doesn't seem to be the threat he once was. Maybe he's thinking of hanging up his boots soon too.

Remember Bailey on a Bultaco, Magoo on a Suzuki, Howerton on Husky, Ward on a Yamaha, Hannah on a Suzuki the first time around etc .. those were THE days no doubt.
Tomac said he anticipates ‘25 will be his last year, not absolutely his last year, although I do think this will actually be his last year.
Webb is 28 so a bit younger than Tomac and Ando. I think he will do another few years at most.

Bloody hell! It's like the list of participants at a bingo tournament in a retirement village. It's also outrageous that some of the riders in the 250 class are close to 30 (we're looking at you Hampshire, Smith and Savatgy).
I for one don't mind a changing of the guard. That's what keeps the sport evolving and progressing. It's a young man's sport and always has been - even though 'young' has been stretched out a bit lately due to better medical, training and nutrition technologies.
Strange statement considering Jett Lawrence is the FMOTP and has only just turned 21. Deegan is also as fast as balls and is 18. All this nostalgia for the old guys makes people forget the new generation has already taken over.
Can we hold off on the FMOTP talk until after Des Nations?
