We went to Atlanta way unprepared. We got our suspension last Tuesday and only had one day to test it. Long story short we had a terrible weekend.
On the good note the Wonder Warthog Team took us in and helped us all weekend. They were great! Very professional in there approach to help struggling privateers. Can't say enough good things about them.
So after Atlanta we decided to go to Nico Izzi's house for the week to buckle down on testing and training. Their place is really nice and watching how fast McDade and Ritter have improved in 2 days is amazing. Preparation is everything and we just weren't ready. But Indy will be much different.

Better luck next week. I'm rooting for the PA kids!

Cool pics too. It's clear Izzi gets all his speed from the corners.

Mike looked a lot better by the end of the day ( sat ) .He looked real tight to begin with but looked a lot better by the last practice. I figured it was the whole atmosphere and all that had freaked out a little. Hope you guys can come by and practice in NC after Indy . Lonnie made a lot of changes to the track yesterday. Good luck this weekend!

Us is my rider Mike McDade and I. Ben Ritter is also riding for Serious Racewear in East Lites SX with his family and mechanic Justin Desjarden. Paul McDade drives our rig. Larry Winter's of Serious Racewear backs us. The Wonder Warthog Team helps us out at the races.

The whole weekend Mike and Ben didn't ride like themselves at all! Being both of their first supercross races, I think many things contributed in them having a terrible night. They were both very disappointed and got a good wake up call.
So far both put in a ton of work so far this week. Our plan is after Indy to go straight back to Izzi's for a day then head to Goerke's to ride on sandy supercross before Daytona. Things can only get better. Hope we can put it all together and ride like I know they can.

I'm McDade's full time mechanic. I also work for Seriousmx.com updating the website with photos and video. We are all a team and go everywhere together. Its a neat little program we have going. Now we just need results, which I know will come in the next week or 2.

Yes his outdoor track is really nice and long! Over 3 minute laptimes! I took these pics from a tower they have. Behind me the track extends all over the place. Monday it was muddy on that track and Mike took a couple laps to kill time while the SX track was being changed. Worst part was we were testing the race bike and he got it all smegged up! Took me well over a hour to get all the mud removed from every spot you can imagine! haha Testing went really good though and the suspension is wayyyyyyy better then it was at Atlanta.

Nico's outdoor.

I was but his money flow just isn't there. We are still good friends and I was trying to get him to come to Izzi's. He's been training really hard and flying! Plans on doing 450 Nationals this year.

Our suspension didn't come back til 4 days before the event. Sometimes things don't workout like you want them too but you still try your hardest to do the best you can.

Chris - Dave wants you to replace "us" and "my rider" with "Team Serious Racewear" and "Team Serious Racewear's Mike McDade" because he thinks SX needs to be more professional. Well, probably because he sponsor's riders and hates when they don't mention their sponsors.

I just didn't know or understand what "us" is or was.
I know who the riders are, but I didn't know his relationship to them.

Maybe it was like how fans say "we/us" when discussing their favorite football team?

"We lost against the Colts last week"
Which begs the question, who is "us"

Thanks for the update. I don't know Mike personally, but was looking for his name on the results as I figured he would be in the main from what I've seen before.

Best of luck to him.
