I know that. But he calls himself media and people argue that media is being oppressed.
Are you arguing that any random person should be able to call themselves media when it is convenient and call themselves a regular person when it is not?
I have not read what he agreed to as far as the type of pass he had. I do know that while my buddy and I were doing our little show I had press credentials and knew that a livestream was not something they would allow if we were doing it trackside/in the stadium . So I looked for a loophole. And my general admission tickets to the stadium also had a list of things I could not do. It also prohibited livestreaming from the stadium.
Has anybody looked up what the policy is for allowing regular ticket holders to livestream? He himself even says he was just there to watch the race. Not there trying to expose some big issue. So he was stopped from doing something that most likely anybody else would be stopped from doing. .
The rules about delaying footage are there to help keep the streaming rights value. They help the sport. Its not like he was covering a live crime being committed.
Bro they didn’t kick him out bc of the live stream but you already knew that.
Cooksey has since responded. You can find his response on his YouTube channel. To think DC had nothing to do with it is naïve to say the least. Moving this to the trash bin just makes the whole situation look worse for those defending the actions of basically trying to silence DC's and MX Sports critics.
I can see both sides of the argument. What raises a red flag for me is if this was truly about the live stream why is it still up? If someone uploads or streams and the rights owner isn't happy about it it gets removed immedietly. If they really kicked him out over this they would make sure the stream was taken down.

It would be easier if he had just uploaded the NBC/Peacock broadcast.
Cooksey said that they kicked him out because of the livestream. He’s the one who gave them the reason to remove him. He intentionally instigated the incident. It doesn’t need to be more complicated than that.
I understand its not permitted but if that was the reason i believe it would've been taken down. Also he's done multiple streams at races in the past and it was never an issue.
Also ml said that dc said it was nbc that was mad. If nbc was mad over a video and rights they would have it removed. Ml even used an example where his videos got removed. Ive watched these lIves in the past where nbc and the owner got mad and it was stopped and removed instantly.
I'm arguing that media, vloggers, bloggers, ... who wanna be complete independent (paying or fixing own tickets...) shouldn't be held at the same standards as the official accredited media. Because they didn't sign any agreement.
You could try to argue that, but Cooksey knows that live streaming isn’t allowed, especially to a monetized site like he shared it to. Trying to declare himself as a ‘regular fan’ while trying to be paid for clicks is pretty difficult…..
We’ve had ours flagged, takes away our monetization but leaves them up, not fully taken down.
What Cooksey actually said was that he noticed MX Sports guys watching him and then a short time later the police were there. He also said it was "silly" to escort him out for those reasons and explains why.
It's not about making it more ccomplicated byt about transparency, which isn't happening.
Problem is, there is a commercial rights holder. And every single ticket sold or otherwise provided carries terms of service. If you violate the terms of service you can be ejected from the premises. Are you really trying to say that independent bloggers, vloggers, etc... should be allowed to simply go in and do a pirate broadcast for financial gain? It doesn't work like that.
Also, while I'm not privy to the details of the contract between MX Sports and NBC, most of those types of agreements require whomever controls access to the venue to provide assistance in enforcing their contractual rights (typically via right of removal)
Since provided additional information by ML512, I agree "Dungeonize" Cooksey's crap. But, what if even 10% of what he complains about is valid. Some relevant "issues" that regularly get quelled;
1. Timed practice makes a one-lined track. Especially when wet like Budds Creek. The riders only ride one "fast" line during qualifying. (Solution: place hay bales on the insides until 1st motos, or use morning qualifying like in the 1990's )
2. Davey Coombs/MX Sports is 100% responsible for NOT permitting 250cc two-strokes in Professional Racing in the 250 Class. They are permitted EVERYWHERE else by the AMA. How does he have that decision power?. ( Solution: Use existing AMA Equal Displacement Rules. Four-strokes are NOT better engines, they are just given a ridiculous "Double-Displacement" advantage )
3. Riders SHOULD be permitted to sell merchandise like T-shirts. Kyle Larson pulls an enclosed trailer into World Of Outlaw sprint car events and sells t-shirts all night. I agree do NOT let them sell "Event" t-shirts. ( Solution: Permit t-shirts, jerseys, hats, etc. to be sold by entered riders )
4. Paddle tires being used due to deep disc starts, creating a one-lined track and hurts racing. I understand discing the start deep to keep it slow and therefore safer. ( Solution; Get rid of Holeshot Devices, starting grates and traction control )
As always, thoughts and comments are welcome and appreciated.
Interesting.
I think every one of those points are 20+ years old.
The Mob has crashed and burned. At first (years ago) I gave him the benefit because he had some decent stuff and it seemed maybe like folks where picking on him. He just gets worse all the time now constantly crossing the line for only he knows what. I can only assume attention or a total nut or both.
Judging by the lack of replies and despite alledged threats, this Cooksey is apparently no physical threat to anyone. Nobody has been forth coming about any conviction he has had regarding violent behavior either. Violating trespassing laws is one thing, accusing someone of attempted murder is quite another.
Pit Row
Attempted murder?
ML stated Cooksey has legitimately threatened his life. If true that is pretty serious.
You're being far more dramatic about it than ML. I've had people threaten physical harm on me in the course of my profession and I have never gone to the police. Sloth isn't going to follow through on his threats, but I can see why those he threatens wouldn't welcome him into their workplace.
Tell us how there was a "attempted murder" Looks like you are just making stuff up.
ML literally stated in this thread Cooksey threatened his life.
Please, please tell me you understand the difference between a threat and actual attempted murder
There it is, threatened ML's life, something about Hopper too. Pretty serious accusation.
Yes, but you said "attempted murder" so you must just be making stuff up
Fantastic, I'm the subject of a Cooksey video now. I tried to defend myself in the comment section but my comments keep getting deleted. Who's censoring who now? You can still read and comment on this thread.
I can still see your comments. Atleast you admitted you sensor stuff here.
😂 Doesn’t feel good to have your voice silenced, does it?
Weird, doesn’t show up for me. 😂
