Was planning on going to this until I saw the prices. From what I see, it's $140 per seat or $70 for standing only. Why so expensive? Even A1 wasn't this expensive. What gives? Are there just less seats than a regular stadium? I've never been to the venue so just curious. Thanks.

What I’m getting from looking at ticket prices and how big the venues are is the bigger the venue, lower the price, smaller the venue, higher the price.

Lowest for charlotte smx is $50, highest on ticketmaster is $70
Lowest for texas is $45 highest is $70

These are what i was able to see, some prices may be higher or lower

Looks like the most expensive ticket for Texas Motor Speedway is $95, plenty still available at $70 and $45 price points.

Side note: I wonder who's bright idea it was to have a 2:00 p.m. gate drop in September in Texas? That's going to be brutal.

100 degrees forecasted for the rest of August. Let's hope for a September cool down.

Same with Charlotte last year too. Its one thing in the grass at an outdoor or something but Zmax with bleachers sitting on top of pavement and pavement everywhere you walk is rough.

Yeah same here it was going to be a fun little getaway with my dad and I. We both said we'd rather just go ride than spend that much to watch.

Vegas in September is going to be fire cracker hot as well. Just minus the humidity

I think Vegas is a night race so it should cool off quickly once the sun goes down. They really should do the same for Texas if they want a big turnout.

It will still be in the 80's or so, given irs a little hotter than where I am at now, at night.

I wanted to try and bring my grandparents along with us to experience their first pro race in person to my knowledge.

It will not cool off at night… it’s been more miserable than usual this summer and our lows in Summerlin which are cooler than by NELLIS AFB have been mid 80s oh and the winds should be kicking by then too so that will be an added bonus to how pleasant it will be! I was excited to go when announced but this local will be watching from the couch!

Unlike CA, Vegas doesn't cool off at night.

Have you been there? Is the seating area small relative to a baseball or football stadium? I just can't wrap my head around those prices.

They must have added the $70 standing only. Two months ago $140 was the cheapest and they didn't offer that standing area.

As a local, I am not paying $140, and the $70 SRO seems like an afterthought so that should be interesting to see how that works out.

I'll stay home in the AC and not deal with traffic.

We’re not going  because of the ticket prices either. We’re going to Vegas that weekend , but  I’m sure I’ll get a better view of the race from the black jack table anyways.

Wasn't this exact same thread posted last week?

In overall terms, the ticket price is a small fraction if you're going to this. Getting there, hotels, transportation around LV, beers. Seems like $40 or whatever is a drop in the bucket

I have been there for drag racing, it’s a typical NHRA drag strip with stands on either side… nothing special. Why they didn’t do it at the NASCAR speedway which is right there in the same facility is beyond me. I was just in florida last weekend and don’t know how people do the humidity, i’ll take up to 110 and 15% humidity any day of the week! 😂

I originally thought they would use the speedway also, way more room, more ticket sales, tickets may have been less expensive if we are comparing the vegas ticket prices to the other rounds which is about half of the price or more.

Seating is double the price of seating at the other two smx rounds. Maybe even a little more than double.

I'd rather just go ride at that point. Regardless hope it's a good event and you have fun with your fam.
