Brutal. Just watch the speed report and they showed a small clip. Josh looked like he grabbed a handfull of throttle and headed straight toward RV. Don't know if it was intentional, but it looked suspect.

Hell yeah that was brutal. Nothing like catching a CRF 250 uppercut to the chin. Damn!

It was a pretty hard hit, but I think calling it intentional would be a bit over the top. Josh could have went down pretty hard himself, I doubt he'd have wanted to take that chance.

That asshole just grabbed a handful and ran over a rider - he had plenty of time to avoid him.

You can see Grant pause for a second, and then make the decision to blast into RV's helmet. Fucking asshole move!

I've always been a fan of Grant but it definately looked like he just pinned it and ran straight into him.

I was a Josh fan until I saw that, total bullshit move. He clearly saw him and hit him in the head with his bike on purpose.

That was the most disgusting classless thing i have seen in a while.Deliberatly running into a fellow racer is not cool.I guess his only option to beat RV is to park him for the series.

Guys that was terrible and looked to be intentional. I'm all for hard racing but that was just brutal.

I have to agree. even before the crash, RV looked to be off the whole day. His riding looked sloppy and he looked like he was forcing things.

That's probably true, but how does that put Grant into RV?

I have to say guys, I think a lot of it is angle.

Think about how that jump face is, tight tight transition at the bottom to a near vertical face, from the angle you're looking at it, it's the transition in the jump face that makes it seem like he's gunning it, not to mention that that angle distorts your view to estimate his time and distance to impact.

Not saying he did or didn't, I am not forming an opinion at all, but I am saying that I think some are being hasty after seeing it from only that one angle.

I think that maybe on some level, some optical illusion is in play due to the angle of the shot

I'm going to add that the camera slows down the race.

The jump was uphill, he didn't even try to brake or avoid him.

How many of you guys saying it was an intentional hit were actually at the race??? The jump Villopoto feel on was a straight up wall that the guys had to hit pretty hard to get up and over. He fell directly in front of Grant in the main line that everyone was taking. Grant had no choice. It was either hit Villopoto's bike or go where he went and hope Villopoto rolled out of his way. It didn't quite work out. Grant flipped over the other side of the jump. Calling that intentional is a liitle much.

 are you really that stupid? or do you just act like it around here?
riding over the top of a [b:ynwfe2tv]DOWNED RIDER[/b:ynwfe2tv] should never be an option.

Were you at the race? I was sitting directly across the stadium from that jump. Like I said earlier, there was one main line over that jump. Villopoto fell in it (he also fell on this jump in the heat race). Grant went between bike and rider and Villopoto was still hanging onto the bars.

Grant wasn't even the rider directly behind Villopoto. RV bobbled, Izzi goes by him and [i:354d97sn]then[/i:354d97sn] Grant launches into him.

Grant could have definitely slowed and avoided the collision. If his reaction times aren't good enough to avoid contact in that instance, he shouldn't be racing supercross in the first place. But in reality, Grant simply grabbed a handful of throttle and decided to disregard the well being of a fellow racer.
