I got the impression from that speech that she plans to hand the reigns to him and she will just spend another 4 years doing nothing all over again.

It all started with Participation Trophies and we've been on a downhill spiral to not hurt feelings or offend anyone no matter how batshit crazy they are ever since then.

Ive been looking at the timeline of it all,  and best I can tell it had to have started in the 80s.   In the late 60s all thru the 70s there was no such thing as helicopter parents.  Kids were to be seen and not heard from.  Parents lives didnt revolve around kids.  They lived their lives and kids were simply around while this went on.  We were outside from sun-up and only went in kicking & screaming at dark-thirty.   Parents of my generation had no clue where we were all day, what we were doing, and didn't care.   Seriously.    Fathers were bonafide hard-asses and would beat your ass with a belt for any reason, and even other kids parents might end up whippin' you too.  The 'Red Foreman' character on 'That 70s Show' was spot on for most dads back then.  "Foot in your ass....."   Most of my teachers and certainly the Principal had a wood paddle they used them daily.    Nobody was worried about your "feelings",,,  fall in line or else.

Holy frikkin sheep shit.

Been seeing video clips from this guy.

Driver's licenses for illegals.

Sanctuary cities.

Signed a bill for children's sex changes.

Tampons in boy's bathrooms.

Had a tip line so you could rat your neighbor out during the scamdemic.

Wanted to tear down historic statues.

Unfrikkinbelievable.

Once again, these two are being sacrificed.

There's no way in hell the party is going to allow any viable future white house hopeful to be associated with her, in any way, shape, or form.

So this is who they chose for her.

Interest choice, considering Shapiro and Kelly polled higher.  Each had a background (Jewish and Chinese investors in space program, respectively) that raised concerns.  Maybe we can convert them to Rs?

He served 24 years in the national guard, had an A rating from the NRA when he was in Congress(and only got more liberal on the issue after the Parkland shooting, but still not totally anti-2A like the far left), has a moderate view on the Israel-Hamas war, is in favor of recreational marijuana, just to name a few things. The skeletons people talk about are more or less nothingburgers, his drunk driving incident happened in 1995 and he’s been sober ever since. Considering Vance has made a point to talk about redemption from addiction, it would come off as hypocritical to criticize Walz for that incident. He’s pretty much the best pick Harris could have made.

And to now initiate the downvotes, I’m all for it. It’s strange to see the Democrats demonstrating competence for once.

To pretty much every sane metric (which does not include the "woke" metric), Shapiro would have been a much better choice.

But the Hamas loving side of the Dem party would have burned the party to the ground if they selected someone Jewish.

So Kamala caved, and went with her white male clone instead.

Dumb move on their part, they think the fringe left is the key to victory- but just because they are the loudest does not mean even the majority of Dems agree with the crazy minority.

Edit to add- though they probably will still vote for the woke duo even if they don't agree with much of what they stand for- because for 8 years they have been programmed to hate the orange man. Sad that people get so blinded by the bullshit the media machine programs people to think that they are willing to flush our future out of blind hate.

It will be interesting. Both Trump and Harris went with questionable VP choices.  Nikki Haley could have neutralized the woman/color issue but Trump wanted a sycophant. We’ll know in about 3 months who made the better choices.

This actually kind of pisses me off that the GOP has Trump…he’s likely the only republican in the country who might actually lose to these idiots on the DNC ticket…so because of some weird allegiance to Trump, we stand a very good chance of getting radical woke socialists in the White House…

Ted Cruz, Marco Rubio…heck, Mitt-basically a Democrat-Romney, etc etc would mop the floor with Harris/Walz…but we get Trump…so disappointing…betting on Trump has a very good chance to push America exponentially closer to a socialist state in four years than it has moved in my lifetime.

I cannot wait for the Trump era to be over…win this election (please God make that happen) or lose…at least the GOP can move beyond Trump after it’s over.

Shapiro would have been a much better pick. But thank god he didn’t get selected because it would’ve increased the democrats chances of winning.

As far as someone here trying to downplay the 90+mph drunk driving charge, by trying to bring Vance's addiction issues into play...

walz's drunken actions routinely kill innocent people.

And rip the surviving family members apart, in countless ways you'll never know.

And his flippant, "do you know who I am" bullshit is even more dispicable.

Granted, drugged out drivers are just as bad.

But is there a record of Vance pulling the same shit ??

And then there's this.

Dozens of reports by fellow guardsmen verifying this story.

“Trump Exhaustion” is real and gaining momentum.  Negative campaigning has existed since the first election, but the petulant fear & hate rhetoric w/o a semblance of hope has people searching for an escape route.

As for Harris, the same (and almost exact same) socialist arguments were made during the Obama Administration.  Yet the economy roared for nearly 8 years and zero constitutional rights were rescinded.  Again, the fear of what might happen is overwhelming many voters, when reality & history shows those fears are unlikely to reach fruition.

"Yet the economy roared for nearly 8 years and zero constitutional rights were rescinded."

Try telling that to all the property owners that Obama's EPA reclassified their property as "federal water ways" and effectively stole their property in violation of the 14th ammendment.

"After the Civil War, Congress adopted a number of measures to protect individual rights from interference by the states. Among them was the Fourteenth Amendment, which prohibits the states from depriving “any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law.”"

Of course I’m referencing the Obama Administration at a macro, not micro, level.  At any time in history we can find elements of economic trouble or examples of the Fed seeming to override constitutional rights. While your example has merit, it reflects an exception, not the rule.

most of us would agree - Trump took the keys from Obama and ran an economy that was booming, very low inflation, low unemployment, energy independent, and without war.

Then Biden / Harris came along and effectively destroyed ALL momentum with virtually every measurable metric available.

So the fear of what MIGHT happen is real I suppose - but moreso for our Red friends who know exactly what we'll get with Harris = more of the same garbage. With Trump, you'll get mean tweets. Oh, and a booming, profitable, independent nation.

I think that VP picks are generally unimportant but usually there is some kind electoral strategy. Finding one here is a bit tough though. Skipping over Shapiro was a no brainer since they really did not need a bunch of Palestinian supporters swarming all over the convention. Instead "she" picked this guy. Presumably to shore up the woke vote I guess. Of course they would have swam through shark infested waters to vote against Trump anyway. Minnesota is also a  solidly blue so no help there. So I guess Trump wins this one. Harris found a worse pick than his.

I’m practicing to be a “big picture” guy who understands no situation is 100% positive or negative. I also strive to accept that Internet victories are hollow and devoid of value.  If playing the contrarian adds value to your life, hats off to you.  Although I recommend you finds ways to move yourself forward instead of pulling others back.

What? You write an incorrect post and I'm pulling you back for stating the obvious? So stating the obvious is contrarian?

I'll add onto yours.

Tell that to the Hawaiians who through the fed and epa stole their land that some owned for 100 years because they wouldnt sell it to the government so the goverment could put up windmills and sola panels using barrys contractors he gave billions of dollars to that still went belly up. Everyone that refused to sell were evicted and forced to take the buy out and if they didnt leave were thrown in jail and still forced to take the buy out.
