Here's a few pics of my track around back. Worked for years trying to get it built. Never thought I would have a track in my backyard-was always a vision and dream of mine.

Sweet track. Do you have a tractor to use for upkeep? I'd love to have a skidsteer or a tractor with a front end loader for my track maintenance but can't find anything cheap enough yet. Maintenance can be a b!#ch!!

Nope. I put on some moto gloves and break out the rake and do a section at a time. Pain in the ass and I got the blisters to show it. Track is fine until it rains. Also, the rocks are everywhere. That's the main reason I broke out the rake-to get all the rocks up. I got some more sections to go still though. Overall the track has held up pretty well because it's so hard pack. I will probably call the guy that built it and have him come once a year and change it up a little and regroom/reface the jumps. It does get pretty dusty also.

I was telling the wife the other day if I quit riding I don't know what the hell I'm gonna do back there. Maybe a goat cart track or something. lol.

Thanks man. It's about 30 second lap times and I designed it so you can do the track about 3 different ways to break it up a little. It's a workout but pretty much first and second gear all the way around. Still nice though if I want to put some laps in and don't have to ride an hour somewhere to ride. Plus get a little workout and have a little fun. If I get good enough maybe I can battle Demuth for an arenacross championship. Oh sorry, was daydreaming for a sec there. Smile

Nice track and looks like a lot of fun! You might want to throw some hay bayles on that tree beside the jump. I am sure if it was my track I would find some way to hit that tree at some point.....lol

I'd kill to have that in my back yard. Have you had any complaints from the neighbors? Or are they to far away? Always been a big fear of buying some land, just to have the police show up the first time I start the bike.

Nah, just throw a set of bark busters on and all will be fine. Then he could cut some trail through the woods behind the track too.

I haven't gotten any complaints yet but I am just waiting for the day. I'll try and fight it though. My leaf blower and my pressure washer is louder. Plus I can always throw the neighbors barking dogs into the mix. lol

One problem is the dust. Fortunately there are many trees around to catch the dust but my closest neighbor mentioned something about the dust the other day so if it gets too dusty then I usually limit my riding.

The tree should be fine the way the track is set up. Ya never know though.

There is also a creek that drops off pretty good to the right of the 1st,2nd, and 3rd picture(all the same straightaway) for about 20 yards of the track so I just put a little double going into a straight before the triple which by then pretty much has ample room.

Doing it that way I tried to limit the risk of going into the creek. That's the part that might be a little scary is if I got the throttle stuck going into the corner I would end up into the creek or if I got sideways over the double then went right then it would be pretty bad. However, it's set up pretty good but still that slight risk with the creek if things went weird.

Trails would be fun but not my land-Smile . There is a huge summer camp behind me with a lake and about 30 acres probably. Then the houses are over to the right about 200 yards but nothing really to the back or the left.

I only have 2 acres total with house and yard. Whats cool about the track is it sits down below the house quite a bit so you walk out the backyard then bunch of grass then a big drop into the track below. So you can see the whole track from the back deck of the house. Pretty neat.

I think I'm even encroaching just slightly on my neighbors land but he hasn't said anything yet. There are 2 houses on 8 acres.

The guy I bought the house from owned the 8 acres and had his house built on there and a house for his parents down farther on the land. I bought his house with 2 acres and the other guy bought his parents house with 1 acre. He offered me the other 5 acres couple years later since I had first right of refusal and I passed so the other guy bought it to add to his 1 acre. Mostly just trees and unusable land. My wife talked me out of it which kinda glad. Not sure what I would of really done with it. Have enough maintenance and work with mine already. I really originally wanted to buy a house with about 10 acres and no neighbors around so I could build a bigger track and not worry about complaints but went with this house instead. All the other houses were pretty far out.
