I know you can buy the pieces, but I was going to call FMF at the end of the fall, we have a short ride season here, and ask for them to rebuild it. Repack, replaced the scratched up decals, etc. I pay all that money and scratch the hell out of it first day out.
Really hard to say with a picture of the damage. Depending on the damage you might be able to repair the carbon. If it's a big smash I'd probably just by a new end cap.
If it's small to moderate damage there is a way to repair carbon.
General steps:
Sand off the resin over the damage and a little extra on all sides (until you see black dust (black dust is carbon, white dust is resin))
Cut a piece of carbon to fit the area you sanded
Clean the area with alcohol, apply resin and sized carbon sheet.
Compress (24h or whatever the cure time is for your resin)
Sand flush, use a razor to trim carbon that's not attached.
Judgement, either repeat and add more material or clean with alcohol and add a final coat of resin.
(Most resin offers UV protection, but you could spray on a glossy clear coat if you wanted a better finish)
You can make a legit repair to any carbon laminate even structural aerospace stuff. It is just tedious as hell. Need to scrape back each individual ply going a quarter inch bigger every ply until you get to the top one. Then build it back up ply by ply, wetting with resin and curing(under vacuum with solid backing on the non bag side) each one individually. Structurally sound, its called a scarf repair.
Deegan did a good tutorial, watch the start of Millville moto 2.
I can't tell from the photo but did your carbon only crack or more of a smash?
It’s smashed and shattered on the tire side. I’m at 22hrs so a repack needs to be done also

Rule #1 when asking for help. Take a legit picture of what you're asking about so we can help. This picture helps no one..
Just buy an end cap and install it while you do the packing
I need to do the same. Did a Larry Loopout on a hillclimb like a squid. Oh well, at least I’ll learn how to replace a carbon end cap now.
If $$ is an issue at the moment, just fill that in with epoxy or JB weld.

So the kit is 80 bucks on eBay. Anyone ever use kwool for packing? I want to keep the spark arrester and need any tips on reassembling.
That’s a good deal. I recently rebuilt my fmf slip on, and bought the factory replacement packing. Really easy to do and went together with no issues.
Wang has the goods...
Man, that hole is embarrassingly ragged.
Can't they spend a few minutes cleaning that up before shipping?
