No USSS sniper is going to throw his agency under the bus like that.

Though there are many questions to be asked about yesterday.

Doubtful that we'll hear any of the real answers.

One helluva claim, if that turns out to be true.

Sounds like a relocated officer/coward from Uvalde Texas.

As time goes by, it seems like a complete keystone cops shitshow.

Which way was the stage looking. It looks like it would probably be in a SSW direction, and if so then it’s incredibly lucky that the bullet only grazed the ear. If Trump’s head were not turned to his right, anything hitting the ear would have also hit his skull.

stage 1stage1 0

Yeah, that’s amazing that he only got injured in the ear without any skull damage. The original, obviously chaotic, reports seemed to make it sound like the shots were coming from behind him, but they were probably referring to the shot by the SS sniper I guess.

I don't know what you think I'm talking about, but I'm referring more to people on this forum than to Donald Trump.

Jeremy A.K. is using something he imagines Joe Biden did to defend something Donald Trump really did do.

That came across as him defending Trump to you? Very weird.

That's what it is. We've established that you and I are different kinds of autistic.

Only thing equally as bad as the liberals feigned disgust and and fake condemnation of the assassination attempt…is the conspiracy theories from the right…

Liberals need to shut up and go away…the conspiracy theorists need to shut up and go away.

In my adult life, I’ve gone from a naive hard core conservative in my 20’s…to a moderate liberal in my 30’s…now to an informed hard core conservative in my 40’s. And I blame the ridiculous politicians on the left… Liberal policies piss me off these days.   Liberal politicians are mind numbingly out of touch.

I went from “I don’t like Trump, but Biden is worse so I’ll hold my nose and vote for Trump”….to “Trump is getting my vote”…as bad as the establishment hates him, he’s got to be bad for them and thus good for Americans.

As crazy as it sounds…we need an opposition.  When a single party/entity dominates the political landscape, that domination is magnified. Eventually leadership’s field of view narrows and some of your own values may come under scrutiny. With no opposition to reign in the oligarchy, everyone becomes a target.

I don't think that's US Secret Service, that looks like local SWAT.  I know for 100% certainty first hand knowledge when Biden spoke at TSMC in Phoenix here in the last year, that going into that event the TSMC facilities and hired security personnel had to establish a 1500 yard permitter with sniper overwatch, which included local SWAT.  I know personally the Facilities manager in charge of the site who was involved with it and I know personally a local SWAT team Sniper on the job.

It would be nice to have an opposition that also wants what is best for America, just a different way of going about it.  The liberals of today want to destroy and change the very things that made America what it is today (well used to be, before they got their grubby little fingers on it)…so they are becoming less-so the opposition, and more-so the enemy.  The ball is in their court to change that…

And yet so far none have owned up and stated that maybe they were taking it too far.

Words didn’t almost take out Trump, a bullet did.  Who’s on board with repressing free speech in exchange for access to firearms?

Switching gears a bit:  I wonder how yesterday’s events affected Trump mentally.  It’s not every day you literally come inches from losing your life.  He may be an a-hole but he’s still a human being with emotions and a family.

He golfed this morning and made a joke about not missing a shot.

So here's what we know:

Former POTUS Trump and current Republican candidate for President was shot in the ear in a failed assassination attempt by a 20 year old kid, who was a registered Republican (that should throw a massive red flag right there - how many 20 year old kids that look like this knucklehead are registered Republicans??) and also donated to far left winger causes.  US secret service disposed of him within seconds of his first 2-3 shots being fired.  The shooter was set up ~130 yards away from the former POTUS on a wide open roof with no cover, fully unobstructed.  There are photos of the shooter set up to shoot in the prone position prior to taking the shot (which anyone who shoots, like me, knows it takes at least 1 minute to get properly set up to shoot from that position).  So there were photos of him but no one took any action to subdue him OR protect the former POTUS?

And we are expected to believe that the US Secret Service and whatever other security personnel was there is just that incompetent that they didn't see this person setting up, with a rifle (as noted above, you don't just run out there on the roof, set up in the prone position and fire off shots in 10 seconds)?  And we're expected to believe that during that time of the USSS/Security not seeing this shooter, that no one decided to protect the former POTUS as there was a possible threat in the area?  And yet, as soon as shots were fired the USSS or security people exposed of the shooter in a matter seconds - only possible if they already had their sites on the shooter the whole time.  If the shooter hadn't been detected, it would have taken longer to find the shooter in the scope before killing him.

I just can't buy that this is straight up incompetence excuse.  Ok, so the head of USSS on the job directed not to take the shooter out for 3 minutes or whatever reason for whatever time.  Why not protect the POTUS before shots were fired because obviously there was a possible threat in the area?

Their lack of communication with the American public, after far more than 24hrs later, easily lead to questions about their commitment to protecting Trump.

Just another government agency that we've lost all faith in.

20 year old loner steals his dad's gun and goes nuts. Usually this movie doesn't have a president in its cast but we've seen this over and over again.

I wonder, who’s in charge over at Treasury?

Exactly..  the president, media, actors, liberals all have called for some form of violence towards Trump now it finally happened..

How does no one see the big picture.. America is the Greatest country on earth and a former president/presidential candidate was shot in an assassination attempt.. That is some 3rd world bullshit and has no place in this country, I don't give a shit what side you are on.. it's fucking political violence.

People always talk about how Jim crow laws silenced black voters.. If Trump was killed that would have silenced an entire political party and more than half of America.. The left is so "progressive" they don't care about political violence. That is a real dictator / fascist move to oppress the competition.. Yet Trump is worse than Hitler.

You think the stupidity level is bad here on Vital       Check out CS&M over on ADVrider if you wanna see some weapons grade mentally ill sickos.

Admins/mods been banning people over wishing Trump had been killed....but even with that, the comments over there are beyond sickening.    I'd say there are some psycho right-wingers out there in the world...but the left has them outnumbered 1000:1

That type of sub-forum is a HUGE black-eye to ADVrider.

I really hope that this is a wake-up call for both sides that the rhetoric they’re using and the division they’re creating is a very real and dangerous thing.  This isn’t a joke anymore, we were inches away from a likely having some of the worst riots and unrest in American history, and even still an innocent man (who I understand was a firefighter and protecting his daughter) was killed.  It’s unacceptable, and to me both sides are to blame for drumming this kind of behavior from their base.

I would hope from here on out both candidates will cool things off and focus on conveying what they will do and how they’ll work to unify the country, rather than just bash the other side and try to rile up their base into a frenzy.  We’ve reached the breaking point, and both sides need to respond accordingly by promoting civility not division, we can’t keep going down this path.

It's not just that all those groups have called for violence against Trump, those groups have rewarded all the violence against conservatives for many years. He'll, even Camel(a) participated with a fund for people arrested participating in the riots. They advocate for it, and then reward the minions for doing their dirty work.

They don't care. The only thing they care about is stopping Trump, even if it levels cities. Remember the peaceful riots? Trump is disrupting their power chart. If Trump is successful, nobody will "fall in line" anymore because the system can be defeated. We've never had a choice for president. Yes you vote, but only for who THEY tell us we can pick from. It's like money, it's really only paper. But we "believe" it has value. If we stop believing it has value, the whole thing comes crashing down.

Anyone wishing for a President or, candidate to be taken out is, exactly what is wrong with the world today. Blame the other side, deflect yet, everyone points out how powerful Biden’s bullseye comment was.

People need to take a really good look themselves, the words they choose and, hold themselves to higher standards.

I saw a phrase yesterday that stuck with me. I don’t remember but, it may have been here.

“HYSTERICAL OPPOSITION”.... Pretty much sums up exactly where we are as a country.

Here's another example of why it's them. How this person isn't already fired is beyond me.

"The deleted post by Jacqueline Marsaw, a field director for U.S. Rep. Bennie Thompson, D-Mississippi, said "I don't condone violence but please get you some shooting lessons so you don't miss next time ooops [sic] that wasn't me talking.""

If you don't understand the left's (the entire left, not individuals) level of derangement maybe you should keep your opinions to yourself.
