On the Moto 60 show Matthes explained it…Smith was penalized because he failed twice, both pre and post race, Deegan passed his test after practice so even if he didn’t pass post race he would not have been docked any points. He also said that Deegan runs a different silencer than the rest of the team…everyone can take their tinfoil hats off and put their torches down now…

I think the thing that is lost on a lot of folks is that these games go on in motorsports all the time. Motocrossers are a fickle bunch imho and most want to jump down the sanctioning bodies throat for trying to police the situation and enforce a rule. Kudos to Star and whoever else (Honda?) for searching for and potentially finding that edge or cracks in the rules and respect to the folks trying to enforce things.

Yeah I said the same thing a few pages back...the only reason this thread is, at this point, a 5 pager is because it was a Star bike that got penalized (for failing both pre and post race) and because a certain un-named rider is on that team....if it were any other team this would hardly be discussed.

Question

how much power are KTM and Honda giving away to the star bikes. They look a lot faster, and a sand track would accentuate the deficit.

So this is all you need for gospel, truth, and fact? Listen to mondays pulp show and steve says the ama thinks its shady and they didn't have any eyes on the bike and should have. Around the 2:10 mark. He also says don't be surprised if they test him this weekend.

Whats the point of the testing then if they wouldn't dock him if he failed? Do they just do it for fun? Lol

Other than hearsay what you got? Don’t let your dislike of me get in the way…he also said that he runs a different muffler and passed the pre race check…and the only rider that got docked points was Smith because he failed both pre and post….Deegs passed pre…

I'm just here to see how many people/entities can get blamed for being in on a conspiracy.

Here's one....KTM and FMF have been in a tight relationship for years, I think ol' Rog told FMF to make the Star exhausts louder to give Frenchie a chance to get back in the title chase.

Is that wild enough?

*Before some of ya'll start pointing out the KTM motocross bikes run Akrapovic....FMF has been the title sponsor of their off road team for over a decade.*

Just quoting this one to change the spelling to:

entitties

😁😁

Of course what he said Monday in your opinion supersedes what he said Thursday because as most people would understand (other than you) that he actually learned more since Monday....but yeah you'll stick to Monday...

Rules. Are. Rules.

In your opinion, which rules are ok to be broken, and which rules aren’t??
why have a rule book?

What rules were broken? yours or the actual rules...do you even know the rules and how they are implemented?

He said the ama thinks its shady. That has nothing to do with Steve or what he learned. I don't see how you can change that info.

Also as a reply to your other quote: I dont hate you. Its just very amusing depending on who it is someone is either instantly guilty and in the wrong no questions asked. Or the person is innocent everything is hearsay and there's no facts. You're very hypocritical.

I don’t think Honda are cheating as such but they’ve got something dialed ecu wise , I think it’s the fact that Deegan got away with it yet again and the other didn’t , if there bikes were over the db limit then Deegans would of been , it’s the circus that comes with it that gets people backs up , like the bullshit with Brian at Loretta’s , in Haidens defence it’s not his fault it’s stars but cheating is cheating

I think the problem here is that the Star bikes were failing sound checks all day and riders were being docked points after the second moto, but somehow Deegan's bike was not tested because it wasn't "running right". But it did finish, stopped overheating and was revved in celebration last everyone saw

Although another indicent to add to the LL issue I'm sure it's coincidence...

The point everyone is missing here is that Jordon was docked the 3pts because he failed it twice, even if Deegan failed post race he would not have been penalized because he had passed in the morning...

Thanks to J-bone the AMA is wising up.
These guys run a special map for sound check before rollin to AMA tech on Friday. The thought of doing it after is the rider isnt using that map for the moto & the AMA want to catch these guys over the db.
Maybe thats why all these teams run a switch under the tank & get to call it a kill switch thanks to Ken Roczen cart wheeling his 17’ Honda in vegas

Strange, after Star bikes failed at Southwick they didn't seem to have the dominate power at Red Bud. 🤔

What dominate power?  Other the Deegan no one on that team has done anything in the 250 class.

People don’t care about if he would have been docked or not.

What matters is the shady excuse Star told AMA to don’t have to the test and all seems to be fine with that?.

Let’s say that if he had failed the first test, would you think it was okay that Star claimed that a bike that clearly worked fine all of a sudden blew up so they could dodge being docked if that were the case.

For those who don't like riders having points taken for mechanical infractions, take NASCAR, if they get caught with illegal hood flaps for instance, driver loses points, team is fined, and crew chief (and maybe other crew members) are suspended.

I heard this discussion on Pulp yesterday, I don't know if it's rumor or a conspiracy but Keefer or Mathes said there is a "sound test" map  but the AMA is starting to catch on to this.

So now we're gonna go down the road of making up hypotheticals just to keep the rage toward Deegs and Star going?

Fuck me, some of you are super committed to your hatred of a teenager.  It's both amusing and pathetic at the same time.

Bottom line is, Deegs is fucking dominating.  Two time Tommy ain't even in the same fucking league and it ain't because ol' Deegs has a couple decibels more.

Surprising the AMA is just catching on to teams allegedly running a false map to pass a sound test. Auto MFG's were using the same thing to beat emissions tests since FI started... How do you not know that was going to happen? LOL
