Also just what I noticed with Dungey is that yeah he is no James Stewart, James Stewart races to win regardless of the situation (most of the time) whereas Dungey does what he needs to do to get what he wants (Championship) so in a sense he almost rides smarter. Also I noticed that when JS was racing Dungey was right with him unlike anyone else at that round, it seems like he rides as fast as he needs to to either win or finish well, and that consistency equals championships.

I gotta say all season I was afraid to admit that Dungicle was the fastest rider out there, but guys the last few weeks? No real "champ" to me, and that goes for anyone who doesn't have to ride with James and Chad, sorry. Even though that's exactly what he is. The kid just lost it for me at the end of the season, and how this kid hasn't gotten hurt yet is fuckin crazy! he crashes like a girl, hits the dirt almost every race, and then just gets back on. Lets just say Dungey's plate is being at the right place at the right time,or good things happen to good people, or gotta be in it to win it. I just see a meltdown coming now that he's got pressure, and maybe some real competition on a 450 can show if its given to him again or can he sack the fuck up and lay shit down EACH race... I don't hate the kid, just have a baaaaad feeling.... and you KNOW what I'm talking about too... anyone else feel it?
WOW, post of the year right there.

How exactly do you crash like a girl? I've seen lots of crashes, and have to say I don't think girls crash any different than guys.

"hits the dirt almost every race" - RD crashed in 4 of the first 14 main events, counting the crash he and RV had in the corner in St. Louis.

"now that he has pressure" - nope, no pressure in 2009 SX, when he was down 3 points to Weimer with 3 rounds left, and won the next two races. No pressure in MX last year, battling Pourcel all year. Definetly no pressure at the MXoN, after all it's just an exhibition race in some foreign country where you're the No. 1 rider for the No. 1 country on your first race on a 450 in front of 40,000 rabid fans who hate your guts - he might as well been on a Sunday afternoon trail ride, right? No pressure this year in SX either. Just easy street all the way.

Someday, RD will find himself in a situation where there is pressure on him. Until then, we'll just have to guess how he will handle himself under pressure.

Maybe RD has something to do with that ala what Chad Reed seemed to be doing last year???

Hey!!!!...some of you guys seem to have forgotten something, this is Ryans rookie 450 year! He wasn't supposed to win. Not too shabby for a rookie 450 season.

And I also see Ryan as even stronger in the Natls too. The guy will do whatever it takes to run harder and faster in order to increase his chances of a win. He has a work ethic that parallels RC-cause RC taught him a lot!

He came out on fire early in the series and didn't look much like a rookie, but then it looked as though nerves and points got in his head and it seemed like RV had his number until crashing the season away. I hope he has that fire in his gut again outdoors because he was fun to watch in that mode and if Stewart ends up racing that is what it is going to take to hang.

I just hope Dungey races at Veas and doesn't act like a little biatch. Even MC said you have to go out there and race for the win or else your not doing ourself any good, to lay up is like kissing your brother.

You went through 12 years of posts and that's the most offensive comment you could find about Dungey? Man you're sensitive.

Mav...I've tried to delete a thread I started and the option no longer seems available like it used to be. It's probably just my ignorance but no joy.

If you're on a PC/Desktop, go to the upper right hand corner of your post, 3 little dots will appear. Click on the dots and you'll have 2 options (Edit or Delete).

If you're on mobile, go to the bottom right hand corner, click the dots, the same two options will appear.
