This year, the FIM World Supercross Championship kicks off at BC Place in Vancouver, Canada, for Round 1 on 26 October. Next up, it's Perth, Australia, for Rounds 2 and 3 with a double-header event at HBF Park on 23-24 November. Abu Dhabi will host Round 4, the season finale, on 4 December at Etihad Arena, with WSX joining a thrilling week of motorsport action on Yas Island, where the series' 2024 Champions will be crowned.

That’s very disappointing
Why?
Didn’t they try a Canadian race this past year (the year before?) but had to bail on it? Why would this year be different?
Why on earth would they go to Perth for 2 rounds. That just makes no sense.

Because its a joke like always. 4 rounds for a world SX series? And they don't even come to the top country in the world?
The timing is curious. I wonder if this press release was distributed prior to Max’s announcement (albeit with an embargo).
Did Max drop out because he saw the schedule and said “I’m out” or did he drop out because WSX was silent resulting in WSX scrambling to release the schedule.
The final round is on a Wednesday ahead of the Formula 1 Grand Prix finale in Abu Dhabi...side show?
Trying to ride the coat tails of F1 isn't a terrible idea but I suspect it will increase the cost for the teams by a great deal with travel expenses and everything else surrounding it.
No idea how you call this a championship series either, 4 races in 3 locations..... can't imagine that's the exposure any of the team sponsors were thinking they'd be getting.
And with all things WSX..... I'll believe it when I see it.
Aside from Daniel Ricciardo, what other drivers do you think would watch a round of supercross? Lewis Hamilton?
I don't know that it's about the drivers as much as it is the big money sponsors that will be in town. I picture it being a giant sales pitch, get sponsors there in person and hope someone loves it and starts writing checks.
People need to stop thinking of this as a world supercross championship and more supercross that travels the world. Is it a side show, absolutely. Will I watch it, probably
It’s in PERTH because — to me — it seems Adam Bailey is incredibly spiteful and not interested in growing the sport UNLESS he profits… hence cutting it off from the Melbourne AusX round…
Its 3.5 round again probably because of the same reasons, any progress made over the last 6 months with AB flying all over the world and posting all about it could easily be undercut with an AB email badmouthing the new management…
I mean I’m kind of projecting but it’s been pretty rough but then it’s also on the current management for not addressing it, but to me, these things don’t need a figurehead - the lording of CEO’s to champion products and events is weird to me… just do the work…
Again hopefully this is a scrambled together building year put together in a month since AB has been gone. If it is it’s solid, if it’s the result of 6 months of work it’s pretty sad, but I’m leaning on the former, and hope against hope 2025 is 5 rounds in 5 countries and build from there. 6-8 rounds in 2026 would be solid.
but I could also see this being the last year and it all folds up after this.
I wouldn't be shocked if Verstappen, Norris, Hamilton and several others pay some attention to SX/MX racing. It's very popular in the MotoGP paddock.
How many races have they actually pulled off compared to what they have announced? 50%?. Could this be a 2 round series?
Because the only other event that international riders come to Australia for is also held in WA
West Coast = Best Coast
here a reason why i bitch about american attitude........4 races in 3 locations can not be a championship series, but 3 races in one location is a world champiuonship series.......go figure !!!!!!!
Wait until the Airlines over East Coast Australia catch wind and how much they jack their prices up haha
Pit Row
Bailey is no longer part of WSX.
I'm not convinced anyone here cares about smx that much either, including the riders. I think it's a distant third in prestige for everyone. Especially with the gimmick points structure. But it pays and there's money behind it so guys are showing up. That's the dynamic wsx is in need of.
They should of held it at Manjimup haha. I would 100% go and watch that.
Whatchu know about the west coast 2pac?
Lemme guess...you rock a fitted L.A hat ..representing the mean streets of ....Perth.
Awesome news ...not that I ever gave a shit, been a kook since day 1...Ain't that right Adam 😊
I just want to be accepted!!!
Its paying more riders i dont see how this is a bad thing.
Welcome to internet where people who dont know shit speak like they have it on their feet.
Bailey news has only been out for two months now
This goes to show how people will moan regardless , baileys approach to this was questionable at times ( he’s gone ).
‘ it clashes with the ama rounds ‘ ( also gone )
there starting over with a new outlook and people running it who have clearly took past negatives in to account and gone again.
Run correctly it’s a positive for the sport.
Yeah I know…
that’s my whole point… that the whole point of my whole post…
AB ran the Aus X open in Sydney initially then Melbourne before WSX was rolled into it — and his company ran the Aus SX series this whole time — he has left WSX reverting the WSX socials to AUSX and obviously said ‘yeah nah fuck off’ to WSX being part of the Melbourne event…
but maybe read my original post with the knowledge that I know he is no longer part of WSX and that’s the whole point of my post…
Jesus.
Welcome to the internet where people miss the whole damn point and people double down on the missed point
So do we have a team list or rider list any where?
They don't pay the riders they pay the teams, and the teams lost their asses with the lack of events and exposure the last couple of years. Riders didn't get squat, except Roczen.
