Has anyone done a 23+ ktm fuel filter?

Bike is running funny, intermittently during starting,  it feels like it's loading up... definitely has the feeling of poor fueling.  Once cleaned out,  lol, it seems to run fine but makes me nervous to ride since something isn't right .

Gonna service and clean the injector, and inline fuel filter. Bought the kit to do the in tank filter and got this!  Any ideas?

Looks like the pickup filter at the bottom of the pump -

You've tried a totally different batch of fuel already?

Yep... intermittent,  comes and goes. Running same fuel in different bike no problem

I've got a '21 and it has one of those types of filters you posted earlier but mine had the same symptoms. Mine died on me up the hill at GH. Changed the fuel filter and haven't had a problem since. Had about 65 hours on it when it happened. I turned the old filter upside down and a bunch of nasty shit came out. And yes, I run pump gas. It's your fuel filter

Did you swap the inline filter? I have done both on my 23, and swapped tanks on my son’s 23 &24’s. Both are easy. Easier than the old style with the canister filter. Yeah the pre 22’s with canister filters would act like that if the filter came unglued or cracked.

inline filter is the same cone style. Easy. I think these bikes run a bit rich these days. Especially if you stall it. Harder to start and clear out than pre 23

Thanks dude, not got around to it yet. Might do a youtube since there aren't any for the newer bikes.

Gonna clean injector and set TPS at same time

I chased all that before I replaced the filter. Save yourself the frustration and do the filter first.

Ok people,  on the youtube video, they power up the bike by running a jumper from the negative battery to a white wire with black stripe on the rectifier...  my 23 only has a white wire so who knows.....

Thanks for all the replies... back has sat for a few weeks while ingot around to fixing it...

Serviced the tank and inline filters, fuel pump triggers so all good. Bike won't fire,  and I've got no spark!

The only rational thing I can imagine is the start stop switch is supposed to fail by corrosion? Don't know what the 4 pin connectors to jump to test.  If anyone knows???

Ordered up the nihilo separate start stop so let's see if that does it.  Otherwise no clue lol

Ok, done both fuel filters, new plug, cleaned cap and plug lead, new start switches, new tps and calibrated it... bike was running good and now intermittent probably comes back!

Seems like fueling and many people have had fuel pumps fail so guess I am changing this next.  Only other thing could be wiring harness lol.

I have heard of pinched harnesses and bad plug wires too.

Yep, there is a thread in race shop.... it never felt electrical,  it has a fuel supply vibe since it doesn't cut out, but feels like it just doesn't have juice.

Very frustrating sure.

When i called xpr,  they said fuel pump going bad is not uncommon... they don't just stop, the work but don't make enough pressure and don't work well.

If this doesn't fix it,  who knows, new harness time... apparently there is an updated part number on those as well.
