I can't be the only one. Why am I seeing commercials during the 250 moto right now?!?!?!

Just because it's on national TV doesn't mean I should be seeing this shit on Peacock!

I pay for an ad free version of Peacock and I got the ads too. Giving me flashbacks of the MavTV days.

I got commercials also, went online and had a stupid chat with a bot!!  I paid a hundred bucks at the first of the year to go commercial free, I will deal with commercials between races, but not during.  They basically told me a live stream will have commercials, but the first two rounds I watched all four motos uninterrupted.  If this is how they are going to do things, then that is bait and switch.

There wasn't any commercials on the international stream so that might have been a mistake by them to show them on peacock and they were only supposed to be for the TV viewers? I hope so, there shouldn't be any mid moto commercials on a paid subscription, that is ridiculous tbh.

Happened to me. Quick tip. Back out once the commercial starts and click back on the race. It goes back to the race, no commercials

I think it was because the schedule was all out of whack due to the weather delay. So the commercial break that was scheduled that would typically happen after the moto happened during the 250 moto since the show started with the backend of the 450 moto. It was annoying though, for sure.

Get used to it

Whenever NBC wants to do  live broadcast on their Network, they are going to run as many commercials as they can sell in that short time period. Even if its just two motos that are fucked up in order.

The next one (I think) Is Redbud, so get ready for the NBC shit show.

fk NBC, ABC, CBS, ESPN, they all went to shit.

Bring back TNN

There was no commentary during those 5 minutes on the international stream. It was the best 5 minutes to watch a national.

Thanks for this. Assuming it works. I will try it out next time it happens.

Peacock is not guaranteed commercial free for live events etc regardless which one you pay for.  The coverage is awesome especially for what we pay for it.  It is worth far more to me.  If you don't like it, just wait for it to be on CNBC or USA network, but then you are still paying for cable or satellite etc.

Wife and I are watching a cooking show on Peacock recently (over a Roku streaming device on a TV)

....and this fucked up commercial comes on.

I don't give two-shits wtf you do in your bedroom....but this is SERIOUSLY messed up..

I only subbed to Peacock for the racing....but the broadcasts have gotten so bad and the general content of Peacock is horrible, I won't be renewing this year.

I hardly got any commercials but what I did get was the screen saying they would be back in a moment while the race was going on!

I mean the whole day was a total cluster fuck of a disaster starting with RDL. They had 4 interviews in the second 250 qualifying. Four! In a 12 minute window. This sport constantly takes out its own legs. They can’t do the obvious smart thing and actually focus on qualifying and surround the qualifying with the interviews. But here we are, them trying to paint a picture thinking they are doing the good work lol.

Cute....   but completely incorrect.    I knew someone would say that.    Which is why I put in the original post that this was on a TV/roku box....not PC/laptop.   Guarantee, noone in this household has any interest in that kind of garbage.     ...and it's not the only completely off-base ad's shown to us based on what we do watch.

Not a lot of straight dudes watching cooking shows on Peacock, there's a reason you see what you see. I only watch sports on Peacock and I've never seen any of the weird stuff you always bring up. It's not a Peacock thing.

The Peacock stream is just that, a stream. The difference here is that they did a simulcast with NBC and had a set amount of commercial time sold to advertisers for said NBC broadcast so they contractually had to fit them in.

The only reason you saw a difference in the amount of commercials (middle of the race) is the lightning hold.

The problem is we pay for a different stream on Peacock. They can break for the ads/commercials for the network show, but keep the stream on for the app/paying customers. That's how it should work.
