Seriously you guys must have a VERY short memory I highly doubt he wouldn't race the outdoors if RV was indeed going to be there.....Face it RV is one fast mofo but James is still faster and in a head to head season I'll bet anything James would come out with the title he may not go 24-0 but he would still win the title barring no injuries from either rider and you can put a guarantee on that .

It wouldn't surprise me in the least to see something like this...he's certainly got the money and contacts. And God knows, if anybody could pull it off, it would be James Stewart.

He's going to announce that he's signed up to ride the ktm 350.

I hope he does ride the KTM 350 judging on his ability to ride a factory 125 against factory 250f's and still kiling it leads me to believe the 350 would suit him verrrrry well especailly with the way he likes to throw the bike around. With that being said I believe the KTM350 will be a landmark bike that the rest will follow (eventually) when they find out that it isn't as much of a disadvantage as most people think. Remember that the disparity in cc's on a 4 stroke to hp numbers is a lot bigger margin than a 2 stroke. I.E. 100cc's in a 4 stroke either way doesn't change the HP numbers as much as 100cc's in a 2 stroke.

Tony Alessi said it in his pulpmx interview about the hp "disadvantage" as some would call it.....he said the 350 has 10lbs LESS rotating mass than a 450 and being at or slightly above the 50hp mark is pretty dam close in a class where riders don't even pump up 450 engines so lets assume 55hp (w/o windhams 63hp bike) if the 350 is close enough in HP numbers with 10lbs less rotating mass the engine is able to spin that much quicker with less effort, though I am not a physicist that 10lbs equates to a very even playing field in terms of drag and inertia. The bike will be every bit as fast as a 450 but easier to handle and throw around.....add a flywheel weight to your bike and see how quick it rev's compared to when it did before....even a 10oz weight will make a big difference and were talking 10lbs?

MXA did a story on Jarred "Jet" Browne's SX bike for this year and it is a 2009 yes 2009 Kawi 450 with a pipe on it THTA'S IT. Other than a hinson clutch assembly the engine was BONE stock and he has had some impressive showings this year in SX for a guy on a stock engine.....IMO a 450 might have a little too much HP for stadiums but outdoors it can be fully utilized. I may be going out on a limb here but I actually think James would have an unfair advantage on the 350 just based on how he rides a bike based on his career( now this is just my observation) he seems to ride a bike better when the HP numbers are lower.....Or just for the hell of it get on a factory Yamaha YZ250 and see what you can do indoors if he can make it back this season before we go outdoors and play
