450 Top 3 Overall
1- Jess Pettis
2- Dylan Wright
3- Mitchell Harrison
Double red plates heading into round 2.
Wright has a blown shock.
Amazing streak he had, bummer to see it end over a mechanical issue, but that's super cool for Jess to finally get one.

Jess rode great today.
IMO, without the mechanical, I think Wright would've caught and passed him.
I think those two have everyone covered.
-I expected Natzke to be a little better in terms of pace.
-Harrison and Ward are right around where I thought they'd be.
-Kilroy and Tanti, I had no idea where to put them. I don't know much about Kilroy and Tanti is still not 100%.
-I thought Benek would've cracked the top 10. He was close in 11th with 21pts.
-It's a shame that Gibbs couldn't get enough support to do the full series.
-Jeremy McKie is doing the East rounds. It's going to be interesting to see where he slots in. He led some laps at the provincial and he knows the tracks. He also got two top 5's and a 4th last year.
-We should see more names on the list when the series goes East.
Brough raced 2nd moto at Hangtown in 250 class then raced 450 in Canada on Sunday? That’s next level
Paid the ride tv subscription, just finished watching. Great racing, great vibe... ping and emig need to do a bit of homework, I learnt more about the us amateur system than the Canadian mx nationals. They did a great job still.
Old mate gauldy does a ripper job reporting on the ground, maybe they need him in the booth to inject some local knowledge into the broadcast?
Dylan Wright is a world class rider, no offence but why isn't he racing mxgp or the ama scene?
The premix class was probably the best part, what an awesome idea. I'd love to see a similar class in aus.
Glad I decided to follow the series and anyone on the fence, I'd recommend jumping on board.
Emig and ping seemed like they came off the couch to announce this race. Zero knowledge of the racers and backgrounds. I hope they do their homework and it improves.
We need gauldy back in the booth. He bleeds Canadian moto. Or atleast ping and emig need to study up
"Old mate gauldy does a ripper job reporting on the ground, maybe they need him in the booth to inject some local knowledge into the broadcast?"
He's been in the booth before and was there last year. He's lived Canadian moto for 40+ years. Hopefully, Ping and Emig do their homework and improve, if not, put Gauldy back in the booth.
"Dylan Wright is a world class rider, no offence but why isn't he racing mxgp or the ama scene?"
I agree, and IMO, he needs to be in MXGP/AMA full time.
As for why he isn't racing those series, it's complicated, but long story short is that he makes great money up here.
He was asked to fill-in for one of the Honda teams in MXGP this year, but the Canadian series takes priority. I get it from a business point of view, but it sucks as a fan.
He's had interest/offers from teams in both series. Again, the money has to make sense.
I believe he still would like to do it. IMO, the time is now. He could give it a shot for 2-3 years and continue or come back to Canada and still compete for titles.
A bicycle lap around the track after the racing was done. Billy from DMX does it after each national.
Wright is obviously the class of the field. Tanti should be 3-5 imo, he has some work to do.
I watched an interview with Dylan. He was quite critical of ping and emig.
They weren't great. They have a lot of studying to do.
