Jarvis at 49 is amazing. He will be back at 50 years old next year.  I hope Carson goes back next year more prepared.

Awesome that Carson is having a go at this.

To be fair, most of the bikes are as beat-up as a used 2008 model by the end, anyway…lol

He didn't finish. He was stacked behind a bunch of guys on one of the climbs.

Mani and Jarvis were amazing again. Jarvis will be back. Billy Bolt In the booth was awesome.  He's got so much insite and a great shit talker.

It's always a small group of people that finishes within four hours. 9 finished and Matt Green made it by about 4 minutes.

Brown made it until checkpoint 8. (There are 27 Checkpoints total). It took him about 2:07 hrs to get there. Leading group was there in about 20 minutes. 2:47 hrs was the winning time.

Most of the riders are half the age of Graham Jarvis.   He a true legend who has won about every hard enduro event.  Privateer team now also.

Jarvis has been riding Erzberg since 2006 when he was 31 and he's still getting top 5 finishes.

He wasn't born, he was created by Husqvarna.

Graham lost a little time when his chain came off. If he would have cleared that big root earlier before Mario arrived he would have had 3rd.

BBolt needs to watch out with Manni now doing super enduro, both have the ultimate in skills but Manni seems to miss the serious injuries

Manni is the favorite at Erzberg. He’s German and grew up on the Austrian border, top KTM rider, rides it a lot and gets tons of prep on the course before the race and gets a ton of help.

Mani had a perfect hard enduro season last year winning every single round. He was the first one to do it. His streak is still going cause he won first and second (erzberg) round this year.

On a side note: All the top guys know erzberg very well. That is the reason they changed the layout quite a bit this year to mix things up and the riders were not allowed to walk the track before, obviously including manuel.

Fair enough.

So if he gets preferential treatment at the 'berg that helps him win, then how do you explain that he hasn't lost a hard enduro race ANYWHERE in like 2 years?

Also, Trystan Hart got 2nd place, beating out all the other HEWC contenders and he lives like 5,000 miles away from Erzberg....almost makes ya think that it's just the best riders who do good and there aren't any favorites being played.....

Well….he does😂at other races as well. That doesn’t mean he’s not the best rider out there right now. It just means that KTM has pull and uses it. Same at Romaniacs. They will and have pulled shady shit in the past to make sure they are on top.

Wait, do you actually think KTM Enduro riders have an advantage on all tracks because of.. what exactly? Damn, I'm sorry to hear that they upset you so much that you feel the need to make things up.

Not all tracks. Erzberg for sure. KTM shenanigans are pretty well known on the circuit, have been for years. Not a huge secret in the industry. Go ask some top riders and watch them laugh. You sound more upset than me😂

In his defense, I do remember some folks being pissed a few years ago about Manni getting some special treatment when he broke his clutch on Day 1 of Romainiacs.

Seems like there was also some drama about his Dad wearing a Media Vest at Erzberg and pointing out lines a year or two ago as well.

However, both of those instances had PLENTY of chatter online, it seems like if they were getting preferential treatment that was helping Manni win every race that it'd be getting talked about online just like those other instances were.

Dude won by 20 minutes and 2nd place had a 14 minute lead on 3rd....I'd say unless they had some huge shortcut that nobody else got to take....they are just the cream of the crop and that is why they earned a ride on the best team in the pits, I don't think the Team or any preferential treatment is helping them beat their rivals by a giant margin.

Manni is the real deal, the top rider right now. Not sure who’s arguing that. Not me. He gets really great support and assistance prepping for the event and riding it. Erzberg is a KTM/Redbull event. It’s crazy to think they don’t have any influence because they do.
And all the top riders have been busted for breaking rules or cheating. Not a huge shock. I just get the inside scoop from some of the folks I know.

And you are correct, its been discussed here in a couple threads.

Ok, so how did that influence help him win by 20 minutes?

Throw out some of that inside scoop you got and let us know.....

Do you think he's just out there practicing every day or what?  If that was the case wouldn't a lot of the tougher sections have lines burned into them before the leader gets there?  Motorex Highway for example looked like it had about 2 bike tracks on it before he got there, that was a massively difficult section that I'm sure he woulda practiced a bunch if he had some special pass to ride there all the time right?

No crazy drama or shady shit this race I’ve been told about. No big protests filed like in the last few.  I think Manni had a good scoop on the potential course this year and in general has had a lot of access to riding it. Not saying he had prior knowledge of it. I don’t think the first comment I made about this claimed anything nefarious.

No you just kinda claimed that he's always getting preferential treatment that helps him win.

You haven't given any examples except the 2 that I gave, seems like you'd have more if it was such a big deal and happening all the time.

What protests are you talking about?  There must be more besides the one where his Dad wore the media vest right?

Yes.
There have been many over the years especially in situations where Graham and others were penalized and certain riders were not. Not just Manni, JW and others as well who were racing for KTM.
It’s really not some kind of crazy tin foil shit, it’s a running joke in the series for a long time.
No different than other sports where a large controlling company or team exerts influence.

Oh there was talk amongst teams he might have had an advantage with course layout or knowledge. How many people you know racing, wrenching or running teams in the series?
