The new KTMs

Edited Date/Time 1/26/2012 8:37pm
The new KTM's look like they handle like a jap bike- the front is a lot lower in the air etc... I think 800 mite be a serious contender this year...

Just in case nobody's noticed, all of the Japanese Makers participate in G.P's and so far 7 out of 8 motos have been won by (those P.O.S.) KTMs. (incl 2 Womens). KTM rule the roost.

So with you're argument the bike doesn't matter. Got it. I'm writing that down.

So if Mike Allessi doesn't win, He's the problem, right?

It is like saying Kawi and Suzuki have won all the races this year in SX. So they are 20 times better then the KTM? They are all great bikes at that level.

Agreed. It was more aimed at the people posting on other threads who have claimed that nobody could win anything on a KTM.

No, that was RC's fault.

Did McGrath ever race the KTM? I thought he got hurt before the season started.

I honestly don't think when McGrath rode them they were at the level of the other bikes. They've come a long way since though and even have me considering one now. Don't think I'd go with a 350 though. Maybe a 150 : )

I agree. It's not really fair to compare a nearly 10 year old 250SX to the bikes KTM is building these days. MC was on his way out and that bike was probably not on par for SX.

I think a KTM could definitely win with a top rider today...mx or sx.

Guys you gotta stop comparing apples to oranges...

Or in this case oranges to pumpkins...

It is 2010 and that 350 sxf is nowhere near the same or at the same level of development as the MC's 2003 (Actually it was a 2002 because KTM didn't even turn up with the new developed bike they said they would) SX250...

AND... In case you missed it, MC's last win was early 2001... Hate to say it, but he was pretty much well off pace 2002 AND no where near it 2003 for the TWO euro SXGP rounds he did... That and a dislocated hip... It wasn't just the bike, but the bike didn't help...

And now the new KTM is obviously capable of winning...

Isn't there a policy of thinking before typing here?!?!

I think that bike has won 3 MX magazine shoot-outs already. That's what I read in one magazine last night.

Didn't realize Yamaha made Orange Bikes now, and Jager is a sponsor of the MotoConcepts team now as well? Wow. Went riding today and missed a lot.
