Ridge, do you get bad phantom pains? i have them so bad constantly that some days i want to hack my legs off. I have tried every damn nerve pain med under the sun and never get relief, and the worst part is i cant even smoke a little pot anymore to calm them down, it makes em 10 times worse!

Do you still run into them at all? I dated his sister for about 4 years a while back. I talk to Brad a little still.

I haven't seen them in a while. Used to practice with them out at Northern all the time. Went back East for some time. As I start to get back in to riding I might see 'em.

I dont think he's even riding anymore. He raced supercross for a couple of years and did the GP's for a Kawasaki team after that. I think he got burned out on it, its too bad though.....he was pretty good.

True, he still goes really good. Met him out at GH last month. He stil runs pretty good up and down the hills. I couldn't keep close to him if my life depended on it.

He also has a really cool dog. My daughter couldn't stop talking about it. Dog is like 10 feet tall. Smile

Nope. My bike sucked a reed off the lip of a huge double. I was gonna go in head first so I jumped over the bars and landed feet first into the face of the second jump. As they say in gymnastics, I stuck the landing. Both legs went through my ankles and heels, and crushed everything.

I spent a couple years in a wheelchair and then went back racing. Eventually I broke the left one pretty badly again and decided to get it cut off. It took a couple years to find a doctor with enough of a sack to do the amputation, so we decided to wait until I broke it again.

Unfortunately, my next broken leg was the other one, and it was the femur and hip this time! So, I waited a little while until my femur was strong enough to stand on, and had the left one removed.

I got my leg amputated about 8 years after the original injury. That was 8 years of heavy pain killer abuse. The doctors really dropped the ball and should have made that decision after the 3rd or 4th operation. The only way I convinced the last doctor (I saw many) to do it was to tell him I was going to do it myself. And, I would have. I had a plan and he knew I was serious.

The doctor. He wouldn't video the surgery or give me my parts back.
