I ran across the trailer a few days back. Not sure what to think. All these remakes and reboots seem inferior to the originals IMO.

I’ve got to tell you, I’m not a fan of sophomoric humor. The Three Stooges, Steve Martin, Jim Carey, etc; I don’t find funny. First time I saw Happy Gilmore, was at Pixie’s parent’s house. They wondered if I was ok, because I was literally rolling on the floor laughing.
It won’t do the original justice. Let’s just hope they don’t stink it up too bad…..
Happy Gilmore had me in stitches back in the day. Not sure they can top that.
Sadly most of these follow ups are often a crap shoot. Take Wonder Woman for example. I really enjoyed the first one. The 2nd one was absolute garbage, I don't know what they were thinking when they made that heap of shit....10 minutes in and I shut it down.

I've been doing a run of all the old classics. The memories they bring back are wonderful. About a week ago we watched Revenge of the Nerds...that gave me a good giggle.

I downloaded the both the old and new Ghostbuster movies last night. The wifey and myself will watch the original one first as It's been so many years...a life time ago.
I don't mind comedies, such as Happy Gilmore.

And, I'm Very guilty of going to see Comedies when grumpy, with a 'let's see if You can make me laugh " attitude. Not a good mind set to have, I admit.
For me, one of, if not his best work, was Punch Drunk Love. Showing Adam Sandler could do so much more than comedy.
Much like Will Ferrell's performances in Everything Must Go, and, Stranger Than Fiction.
Hollywood has descended into so much re-boot / sequel crap, nowadays - well, for decades now. I'd be very surprised HG2 does not fit into that category.

Yeah, Uncut Gems. That movie is powerful and amazingly well done. Sandler killed it and should have gotten an Oscar for it since it was so far out of his normal wheelhouse.
