My wallet isn't quite deep enough, but I would give up ol' lefty for that bike.

I'd need something bigger than that to tow me around. Besides, my pockets aren't that deep.

Don't kid yourself. That thing would haul you around just fine. Powerball is 175 million tomorrow.

Guess I should have bought a couple of others just like it when they were available a while back for around half the current bid. Unfortunately my pockets aren't too deep at times either. And other times you end up making the checking account look like some high school kids with the stroke of a pen.Sad

Don't think that bike has the pedigree potential to go in his basement. He has some really trick stuff.

The Bike is a real GP Mugen 125.It was 1 of 2 bikes raced in the 125 GP's by Henk Seppenwoolde of Holland finishing 7th overall for the year he is the guy in the picture in front of Harry Everts. The Mugen team was based out of Gebben Honda a shop in Holland.Honda had no GP team in Europe and just backed the Mugen teams.

Henk had both bikes in Holland one was bought by a friend of mine several years ago then sold to the owner of www.vmxracing.com The owner of VMX racing was from Holland and was Henk's team mate in 81.He found out Henk had the other bike and bought it too.
That's the bike on E-bay so it's a real 81 GP mugen with race history.

I rebuilt the engine about 3 yrs ago keeping the original paint in tact. The bike is as raced with the original paint and decals and I hope it stays that way.

That's too cool. If I was a lightweight that was loaded with cash, I'd buy that bike, put the correct #32 digits and race it!

That thing is so trick for its day. It's hard to believe how far ahead of its time that thing was. Johnny O used to test all the time out at Indian Dunes and I used to drool all over it. It was a hand made work of art. That hand made swing arm is so sick looking. I loved the bike so much I actually ran Johnny O's # that year. I rocked the 1N in 1980(ame wouldn't let me put the letter before the #) as you can see in my avatar pic from 1980... I remember him telling me it was $5,000(I think he said $5,000,it was a long time ago)and for one and to me that sounded like 5 million. My bike that year was $6-$700 lol.

If it's 15k with 5 days to go I wonder how much it will end up going for. I think it's just cool to see people out there understand the value of this piece of art work that's truly a huge piece of MX history.

I like allot kids back then rocked this poster in my bedroom.

I might be mistaken on this, but was it Henk Seppenwoolde who lost part of his foot in a freak accident with plastic boots? I seem to remember hearing that his boot folded up in a crash and so rather than breaking his foot the plastic instead creased and crushed/severed his toes?
