How is already exiting the corner leaving it open? The IQ's on this board are smaller than my shoe size.

I am not disagreeing with his intentions, I am just saying he needs to think a little bit while he is out there! Go back and watch that, the pass was not going to happen without a yard sale... That is my only point... I am all for the third place guy getting aggressive and possibly taking out the guy in second, when the pass makes sense.

LMAO...damn right he was, but don't be dumb while doing it, tapia was passed by 32 and was in fact dropping off the pace from the 4 long laps. Smile

watch the vid, this kid make barcia look like a choirboy. but i do love his tenacity and never give up attitude and how he has learned to leave it on the track... he's just got to learn how to go just a little faster and get away from the lcq's.

No question the kid goes for it, and that is commendable. But obviously the low-percentage moves he's pulling aren't working out for him, like this, and whatever the hell that was he tried to pull on Moss. Hope he's learning at least.

I say do not regret a thing, the kid did the only thing he could and that is go for it. Last corner lcq, give up and go home or stick your wheel in it and go for it. Do nothing and there is NO chance, do something and there IS a chance. Many guys in the other races have made the exact move and sometimes it worked out and sometimes it does not. It happens just like that round after round. This is a race at the top level, go for it or go home. All this "he was too aggressive" bs is weakening our strong sport. This is MOTO.

I had exactly what happened to Kilbarger happen to me before. I never left the door open on a last lap for a last transfer again. It was a shitty move, but I would've done the same exact thing.

Did you purposely black out the 1.5secs where they made contact? That's the only glitch in the entire video.

Are you fucking serious? Left the door wide open? Levi was coming out of the turn and Tapia cut completely across to take him out for no reason. You people that are defending Tapia's ridiculous riding are pathetic. If you can't beat the guy straight up, then don't ruin it for him too. Pathetic.

Well if you watched Reed take out Stewart earlier and have seen some of the moves Stewart has made in 180s its pretty clear that all of those fools make the same types of moves on eachother. Ive been watching Tapia ride around here since he was on 50s and thats just how he rides; Hes aggressive.
BS....left the door wide open? How can you even say that? Kilbarger was already straight up exiting the corner and talapia came floundering in the like a fish and had to lay it all the way over to hit him. He knew he had no chance in hell yet he rode like a C class rider and took them both out. Les Smith is lucky he didn't get landed on after Tapia decided to take his shit out as well. Bone head move and just goes to show you that there IS a line between aggressive and stupid.

If he had taken the inside on the last corner would Tapia have been able to take him out? There's your answer

Not sure if many of you have ever rode Supercross . When you enter a set of Whoops like the huge gnarly Houston set, your pretty much concentrating on that. Saying this im sure Tapia was seeing Killbarger who was fading last lap and was just rode up high by Cunningham so lost he momentum commiting to outside Tapia needed to commit to inside if he stood a chance either way??? It was obvious when he seen he couldnt come across clean he tried to cut it sharper and slid out. Killbarger should have been ready for a last corner move. He had room to go wider but actually should have protected his inside coming out from the whoops. The same scenario in Toronto when Moss commited in whoops and passed Tapia last lap. If Tapia didnt get kicked to the right on last whoop Moss would have hit Tapia 5x's harder than he did and probably would have highsided because Tapia would have not missed the inside rut. Instead Moss's commitment and aggresiveness worked out. Also not sure what the other bad choice Tapia made at Toronto. Jumping off a bike that had screwed up suspension that blew through the stroke at the faster speed he hit it and endoed off that triple was obviously the right choice. As far as hitting Moss in the heat . Most everyone was jumping that triple and Moss didnt and stopped in the inside. Les Smith jumping on Tapia in Houston. Tapia was in 2nd coming from tight inside so he would obviously fade out through that section which also sets you up to flow through the right hander and over the next little 3 5 3 section. Its always a mess coming out of the 1st corner and everyone needs to watch out whos next to them and in front of them. In Tapia's case not so much whos behind him?? Just to add. The dirtiest move I seen in that race was Cunningham cross jumping Tapia in the table table section That could have been real ugly. Looks as if they were both catching Killbarger fast and if that wouldn't have happened Tapia could have made a move sooner.

If tapia really wanted to break his leg, would he have slid it into kilbarger? the SAME exact thing happened in Houston 05' with Bubba and Reed, remember that? Reed did what Tapia did, but only reed went down.

he has made a few mains and has the talent, right now hes that kid who when he gets a good start finishes in the 7-9 in the heats or hes always in the top 4 in the lcq

hes young, but he is a great kid with lots of hart. this family lives for this sport and would never do anything stupid like try to take someone out, watch the video he tried to make a move to the inside (like he should of) but got out of shape. cant be mad at the kid for trying, its racing. and for the guy who said they should rearange his grill, he has a dentist to do that for him. and the new chompers look great tevin. keep up the good work.

I remember that move at PIR sharkey, I was standing near his dad and he just shook his head and shrugged like: "you left the door open".

Some of you guys need to get out and actually attend some races, local or otherwise, Ive seen some of the gnarliest takeouts at local arenacrosses.

He didn't make the main but he got more recognition than if he did. good for him.

Is it the rider being aggressive.....or a track design flaw that is the problem?

If there is a line where a rider can make contact and attempt a pass.....its his job to throw it in there as hard as he can to try and make the pass.

Sometimes your the windshield.....sometimes your the bug.

As a sponsor of Champion Cycles.... the team that Tapia rides for I applaud his efforts. There needs to be more riders out there giving it 100%.....in both classes!

His last lap takeouts seem to working good for him LOLOL How many mains has he made and how many LCQs has he finished on the ground. He was going down on his own before he even hit Kilbarger, he needs a sock full of nickels or pool balls across the head in a dark alley.
