Franklin. Limited series (8 episodes). Starts streaming on April 12th.
Based on Pulitzer Prize winner Stacy Schiff’s book, “A Great Improvisation: Franklin, France, and the Birth of America,” “Franklin” explores the thrilling story of the greatest gamble of Benjamin Franklin’s career. In December 1776, Franklin is world famous for his electrical experiments, but his passion and power are put to the test when — as the fate of American independence hangs in the balance — he embarks on a secret mission to France.
I will report back when I am finished, I'm thru ep. 4 of 9.
So far it is on par with both.
Was this one posted yet? Started it last night and got two episodes in before it was time to sleep. It's definitely one to make you think... Also where TFS got the "Octopus" thing for DC and MxSports.
ODubs WW2 trilogy series ranking on a scale of 1-10.
Band of Brothers - 9
Band of Brothers is a 2001 American[1] war drama miniseries. The series dramatizes the history of "Easy" Company, 2nd Battalion, 506th Parachute Infantry Regiment of the 101st Airborne Division. It begins during Easy Company's paratrooper training and follows its participation in the Western Front of World War II.
The Pacific - 9
The Pacific is a 2010 American war drama miniseries. The series is a companion piece to the 2001 miniseries Band of Brothers and focuses on the United States Marine Corps's actions in the Pacific Theater of Operations within the wider Pacific War. Whereas Band of Brothers followed the men of Easy Company of the 506th Parachute Infantry Regiment through the European Theater, The Pacific centers on the experiences of three Marines (Robert Leckie, Eugene Sledge, and John Basilone) who were in different regiments (1st, 5th, and 7th, respectively) of the 1st Marine Division.
Masters of the Air - 9.5
Masters of the Air is a 2024 American war drama streaming television miniseries. It follows the actions of the 100th Bomb Group, a Boeing B-17 Flying Fortress heavy bomber unit in the Eighth Air Force in eastern England during World War II.[3] The series serves as a companion to Band of Brothers (2001) and The Pacific (2010).
All three are outstanding pieces of storytelling and should be watched by all Americans and other citizens of other countries involved in WW2. I gave the MOA a tad higher rating because being a newer series the "special effects" were just outstanding with bomber formations, German ME109's, FW190's, etc.
Highly recommend all three.

Luxon 4-Post Bar Mounts
$189.95 - $239.95
I would have given The Pacific 10 due to the way it managed to show the brutal way that war was waged over there, but all 3 were riveting viewing, to me the others were easy watches.
The mark of a good show - would you watch it again, its an easy yes to all 3.
The Gentleman on Netflix is pretty wild in a Succession/breaking bad kind of way. Add in some mobsters and a bit of comedy and its not too bad.
"The Darkest Hour" is one of my favorite films, Winston Churchill film that takes place over just a few months.
His famous speech to Parliament at the end of the film was just outstanding.
The Penguin. Mini-series (8 episodes).
Following the events of 'The Batman,' Oswald Cobblepot, aka The Penguin (Colin Farrell), makes a play to grab the reigns of the crime world in Gotham.
Gran Turismo was an excellent movie - about the creation of the game and how they let the best gamer race against the actual racers.
Okay seriously I stayed up till right now watching Night Agent on Netflix. It is that good.
Bad Boys: Ride or Die. In theaters June 7th.
"This Summer, the world's favorite Bad Boys are back with their iconic mix of edge-of-your seat action and outrageous comedy but this time with a twist: Miami's finest are now on the run."
Watched Roadhouse on Prime and it was pretty entertaining. It's funny because I've caught hundreds of lobster from the south end of that bridge to Fred the Tree since i was a little kid and the bars were exactly like that as a teen but 1st rule. Good times.
Started 3 Body Problem on Netflix. Interesting and trippy interstellar communications connected to manipulated fate of civilizations... I think. Only on episode 2.
It's an odd one, the more it goes on the less sense it makes. I'm talking plot as well as the science of it.
Have started binge watching Fallout, am on episode 3 and so far its pretty good. Big Walton Goggins fan and he has a big role. Hope this gets enough viewers to keep it going.
Was a big fan of his in the series Justified, then in the Hateful Eight. (70 mm Ultra Panavision).
One of his best scenes.
Fallout is exactly like the game and we are enjoying it. I played through a few of the Fallout games and currently playing Fallout76 so its a pretty cool perspective. So busy that I am only halfway through episode 3 but looking forward to each session.
The Tattooist of Auschwitz.
Based on the eponymously titled novel, this is the powerful real-life story of Lale Sokolov, a Jewish prisoner who was tasked with tattooing ID numbers on prisoners' arms in the Auschwitz-Birkenau concentration camp during World War Two.
Pit Row
Watched the first episode of Fallout. I don’t play video games so no perspective there. It feels a lot like Badlands.
Congratulations Avidchimp on season 2 of Lioness coming soon.
Thanks man, we start shooting in 2 weeks. I am doing both Landman S1 and Lioness S2 at the same time, so it's going to be a busy rest of the year for sure. Who doesn't love 70 hour weeks at 50 years old? hahaha
I haven’t watched fallout yet but it is my favorite video game. Fallout 3, new Vegas and 4 are the sickest
I would guess you are really going to like it if you are a fan of the game. It's pretty much the game.
Couldn't really get behind the Fallout games but absolutely loved the show. Had to watch the Season Finale again to wrap my head around some things
Watching "PAINKILLER" on netflix
Watched a few of these DOCS about Opiates. They ALL resonate with me, 28 broken bones, 5 surgery's was easy to get over compared to OXY.
That shit is evil. so happy to be off that shit 9 years now.
It was fun seeing that ship and everyone get sliced up
Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F. Premieres July 3rd on Netflix.
"Detective Axel Foley (Eddie Murphy) is back on the beat in Beverly Hills. After his daughter’s life is threatened, she (Taylour Paige) and Foley team up with a new partner (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) and old pals Billy Rosewood (Judge Reinhold) and John Taggart (John Ashton) to turn up the heat and uncover a conspiracy."
I watched a silly 6-episode show on Netflix called "Tires." After a couple of decades in an automotive repair shop, I thought it was pretty funny.

Hotel Cocaine. TV Series (8 episodes in Season 1). Premieres June 17th.
Hotel Cocaine is the story of Roman Compte, Cuban exile and general manager of the Mutiny Hotel, the glamorous epicenter of the Miami cocaine scene of late ‘70s and early ‘80s. The Mutiny Hotel was Casablanca on cocaine; a glitzy nightclub, restaurant, and hotel frequented by Florida businessmen and politicians, international narcos, CIA and FBI agents, models, sports stars, and musicians. At the center of it all was Compte, who was doing his best to keep it all going and fulfill his own American Dream.

Global superstars George Clooney and Brad Pitt team up for the action comedy Wolfs. Clooney plays a professional fixer hired to cover up a high profile crime. But when a second fixer (Pitt) shows up and the two “lone wolves” are forced to work together, they find their night spiraling out of control in ways that neither one of them expected.
