Was looking at ebay for a cheap 2 stroke, and will try to snipe this auction. Can anyone confirm if it is actually a Reed bike, or is it just the graphics? [url:3he5vnjh]http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/YAMAHA-YZ-250-2007_W0QQitemZ200197217567…]

So you are sure it is not Reed's bike, or are you Assuming? The 22 sticker on the frame is a trait of an AMA bike.

That's a decal works sticker on the frame and also decal works number plate backgrounds. It's definitely not Reed's bike.

This is for sure chad's bike. He run's those factory black pipes. Holy Moly they are even giving you one of them cool Pro Circuit engine thermometers!!!!
2/5/2008 8:57pm
It's also a 2007. How long has it been since Reed raced a 250?
2/5/2008 8:59pm
Btw i'm guessing that that is one of his championship bikes because it only has 100 miles on it..

One of my friend's co-workers finally got hired at ... one of the big four racing team departments, last year.

And it's true ... all that unobtanium goes into the grinder. He said he couldn't even get us silencers or little harmless sounding stuff. All about the liability.

We still bug him for parts every chance we get though.

You can tell by the stock pipe, silencer, hubs & rims, triple clamps, and suspension, that that is most definitely a Factory Yamaha race bike..

That 22 sticker on the frame is probably from Decal works.

Nontheless, it looks like a really clean bike.

Looks very clean. If you do buy it, don't forget to wear your helmet. I don't think you can take another hit to the head!

You guys that are looking for nice smokers,my buddy put one on Craigs list on Tuesday I think.08 YZ250.He barely rode it.Just had Enzo do suspension.Added some lightspeed carbon fiber. He bought 2 sets of plastic and is a very meticulous Vet who is easy on bikes.Has less than 8 hours on it.He has to have shoulder surgery,as well as moving out of town. He's in El Monte,Ca. Just thought I'd throw that in since I know some of you are die hard smoker fans. It's a sweet ride. He's also got a full Yamaha wheelset on there too for sale.

Is this 2006 the same one ? It has Enzo work on it, although only maintenance stuff, not a revalve or anything. Don't see any 2008s. Which Craig's List city did he use?

2006 Yamaha YZ250 in excellent condition, super clean with very little use. I have run a total of 6-8 tanks of fuel through this bike while riding with my son to teach him how to ride. This 250 is just a little to much bike for me @ 46 years old and 135 pounds. The only reason that I am selling this bike is so I can buy a 125 or 250F to ride with my son. This bike is still like new. A couple weeks ago I noticed that one of the fork legs was starting to leak a little oil from the seals so I brought the forks to Enzo Racing in Santa Ana and had the oil, oil seals, and dust wipers replaced. The cost was $180.00 and I have not ridden the bike after having this work done. The folks at Enzo said it was fairly common for the seals to leak if the bike sits on the stand for long periods of time. I have also installed blue ASV folding levers. You will not find a cleaner 2006 with this little use. $3800 YZ, KX, CR, RM, SX, SXF, YZF, CRF, RMZ, KXF, 125, 250, 250F, 250R, 426, 450, 450F
Cell 714-580-8811
Price: $3800

IF ... the usage is as low as the ad says, I think that's a decent price. The '06 was a great bike.

That is Zorro's bike. You can tell by the number ZZ.

Does anyone else not like the Decal Works Super 2's?

Looks clean. Price seems OK but not a steal. Depends on how much suspension work he's had done and whether it will work for the buyer.

I would need a test ride on it ... preferably a couple laps at Unadilla! <img class= " title="Smile">

He's not going over to the Dark Side is he?

Nah,he bleeds blue and loves the smoker. He just has some surgery stuff that will keep him busy for a while,2 small kids, and lookin' to move away.If I didn't go so much better on the 4 smoke,I'd grab that bike because I know it's history.
