I have tried Enzo, Factory Connection and Pro Circuit and Graeme Brough and they all claim they are at this super high level because of their past race team experience and past experience which is cool but what they never you is they do not do data acquisitions with sensors like Mark Johnson does and so they end up taking Radom shots in the dark and guesses that will never give you the true factory level dialed in suspension because 99 percent of people that go to these other companies do not do more than maybe 2 major overhauled sets of settings with these companies and these companies never watch you ride the bike so they do not know what you actually need. Mark has really nailed this aspect that all the big names are leaving out!
any body else getting great results from REP suspension i love mine Mark Johnson is the man!

Cool story bro.
95% of dudes are better off using their local suspension guy than ANY of these big National companies.
Use the dude that rides the tracks/areas you ride and is there to help if you need them.
yeah your local suspension guy usually again takes random shots in the dark in his garage like Graeme Brough and Hootie Davis also known as Scott Davis at MAD racing in Vista California as he is not even close to the millions of dollars of equipment Mark has also Mark worked for WP doing Ryan Dungey's suspension for like 4 plus years

You're so right....I'm sure there is a lot of cross over from what Dungey ran to what I need.

First off, Mark / REP does a great job but your post here is probably doing more harm then good to him based off the way you’re writing and claiming things about other companies without any real background on everyone’s processes.
Example, Factory Connection has much of the same equitpment as REP, plus two full time R&D staff members and support trucks all over the country at events, especially off road.
Enzo/Ross is old school, knowledge and experience does drive his R&D process. Was good enough for Chase Sexton as of late…
Anyways, it’s cool to come in and share positive experiences with a brand or person but throwing shade at other brands really deflects from what you’re trying to accomplish. Especially when it’s not totally factual.
Mark and the REP team do a great job.
I’ve had REP WP air forks that are amazing.
At the same time, I’ve had Ride JBI, Enzo, Factory Connection and ProCircuit Suspension that have all been just as good or better…including KYB air forks and that weird Suzuki 450 shock.
I’m jus’ sayin’…
Every few months these REP / Mark fan posts show up from a new account.
Good morning Mark. Slow today at the shop?
Clever work around instead of paying those pesky advertising fees 😂
OP should have ordered the punctuation upgrade.
didn't you work for Enzo at some point i can see why you think this post is shady but i am not biased as i have not received a pay check from anybody other than REP suspension performed way better and took Mark was less time than the others and Factory Connection does not even come close to the custom tools and parts Mark has and they do not give the average customer sensor data to study and dial in so no my assumptions are spot on
hey nobody said dirt bike riders have good punctuation as it is easy to hit jumps behind a keyboard
Johhny_Utah, is that you?
dude, please try using a period once in a while
What does "hit jumps behind a keyboard" mean?
I guess if we had Mark Johnson suspension we would know what it meant? 😁
This is fair, and accurate!!!^^^
I think he might be on his period.
Dude. Trust us when we say you aren’t helping whom ever this supposed suspension guru is. Lol.
Walk away man. Walk away. 😂
Pit Row
Actually, he needs to edit his OP…because, it’s just wrong.
I’ve seen telemetry/data collection used by some of the people he says “…they do not do data acquisitions…”; so, he’s just wrong.
Funny thing…I watched factory suspension techs this last weekend at Denver (actually my 2 favorite suspension techs in the pits) and I think the technician’s capability to build the correct set-up for the rider is a grossly under appreciated aspect that’s missing from this post.
Someone in here sort of touched on it when he spoke about using a good local service; but, the point to be made is…
If you really want an excellent set-up? Go spend some time at the track with a good tech. I’d even go as far as to say that you can start out by getting a tech to help you get the stock bike settings right (including a likely respring) and go from there.
But, hey, what do I know? I still love going to track with my AER’s and my hole shot device(s) and beating my buddies with their “Factory Services” hi-dollar stuff. And, to be honest…my current Austrian stuff -is- REP!
My 2007 Zook RM125 (my absolute FAVORITE BIKE since my ‘89 KX125 or my ‘91 KDX200) is pure Race Tech: EXCELLENT
My 2024 CRF-X racer is ALL Pro Circuit: even an old fat due like me can win on that bike! AWESOME!
My 2022 CRF-X Baja Trail Bike is REP: 2 seasons of flawless comfort in some really TERRIBLE TERRAIN. EXCELLENT!
My KLR Adventures are stock KYB sprung & adjusted slightly beyond the stock scope of adjustability: surprisingly Damn Good. Friends of mine that consistently win Championships in Baja are shocked at how much they love riding them…at speed…in Baja (KYB, Japan). We do our initial preruns for Baja 1Ks on them.
My Husky FE350 that spends the vast majority of its time as a Buddy Bike: buddies race it at DITD or do their 1st ever Baja Ride on it…Ride JBI made it the most forgiving and adjustable “hard enduro survival no matter what ‘Hell Trail’ we’re on” settings I’ve ever seen or worked with. Ever.
The absolutely CRAZIEST improvement I’ve ever had on a motorcycle was…actually “were” both from Bones: a couple of PC suspended/Jon Braasch built KX500s for BITD racing & a Bones Built 2013 KX450 w/KYB PSF forks…the smart ass moved the bars all the way forward to see if I’d notice. It was hilarious (hated them there!). I noticed. Btw, that day he adjusted the bike for me thru-out the day at Glen Helen. That bike was PERFECT on the track & even on the trail. I let an ISDE off road rider take it down the trail on a ride in Baja…I think he cried when he had to get off of it.
But, there’s another bike…and another tech that COMPLETELY & surprisingly improved an emulsion fork and transformed the shock into a “1989 SR125 shock” on my 1991 KDX200…Jake Thompson…one of the OG Showa Techs from back when Honda DOMINATED and he’s one of the few guys that would take the time to help a regular dude out…back then…he built stuff for my KDX that year…we eventually ran some older Showa cartridge forks; but, the point is…from MX races at Hollister & Marysville to D-36/Hare Scrambles including winning a district plate and my class at the VCGP…all that bike did is win.
Suspension Techs can make the HUGEST difference.
Mark is just the figure head
Chelsea does all the real work.
I rode his stuff on Keefer's KTM 450 at the Vet National at Glen Helen, it was DAMN good. And if you were at the race you know how absolutely hammered it got lol. I made adjustments all weekend but that was because I had to take it from Keefers speed to my speed, Which are drastically different. We went to Pala on monday after the race and I got to spend some more time on it and man I had it working so damn good.
So you're saying mark doesn't actively have any input is just the owner?
now this guy has felt the cream that is REP suspension what a boss!
mark doesn't have time to answer questions on phone when he is engineering parts and doing setups
Wasn't asking you! You haven't given any correct info for this entire thread LOL

BEARS! 🐻
A few friends of mine are saying the REP Austrian linkage is unreal, I wish I tried it before I sold my 23.
I’ve talked with Mark about data acquisition and I really like his approach to suspension problems, data, 3D scanning, dyno testing then on track. Not saying other companies don’t do this, but I appreciate his openness to talk about it! Keefer recently did a podcast with him that was great!
I feel like this thread is one big inside joke and I'm not sure who all is involved.
