I know he races WORCS... But this guy should be showing up at the Nationals every week on a factory ride.


He might not be a SX guy but this guy has the skills outdoors.

Far from wasted talent. Thats the discipline he chose to ride. If he chose not to and his contract came up, I'm sure he could ride the Nationals. I think he'd do well in almost any type of dirt bike racing. He's an all-rounder.

Don't underestimate off road racing in the US. It is the fastest growing segment of the dirt bike market.
The total attendence at the last GNCC I atteneded was larger than some nationals.of recent years.

Be careful and don't over-estimate either though. 1/10 the population than what shows up in Europe. Sad but true. That's where Dietrich need's to be for off-road because he would do some ass beatings and take some a long the way.

But he is an all-around moto guy and would be great in any disciplines he chooses to ride in.

Although he would do just fine in the Outdoors. He's an intelligent athlete that knows where his skills are that pays the bills. The future plans are perfect for his program. I'm sure you'll see Dietrich in at least 3-4 different series next year, or at least thats the plan. Smile

Pretty sure he said in an interview that he planned on racing the nationals when his contract is up. Anyone recall that?

Which is the Premier Racing Gncc or Worcs, or are they on a par or differrent racing altogether.
The Strange young Aussie has been going good and Did Mr Watts win again or was I dreaming. Aussie riders have done well in your series along with the Euro's Sulli and Knighter.

Worcs is quite different from GNCC. Worcs usually has alot more moto sections combined with outdoor loops. It is the premier outdoor series now in the west.

GNCC is strong in the eastern US.

His contract runs through the entire year with Factory Kawasaki Off-Road. The Endurocross series runs through Novermber. He plans on doing 2-3 Nationals for sure. Also working on the one race that runs in August too. (haha)

I have never been to a Worcs but I think they are similar in attendence and like motowhore said GNCC is an eastern based series and WORCS is a western based series.

JR probably kknows more then me, but he was offered rides but would make more money staying put for now. Far from a waste of talent.

I bet Ricky is doing better than most supercross/national riders are doing financially. The WORCS also have decent pro contengency money.

How long is a WORCS race? Not a waste as long as he is getting paid......and like others are saying......he is making more $ where he is than 90% of the SX/MX riders.

The only way Ricky could waste his talent is if he was sitting in an alley shooting smack. If he is on a bike he is not wasting his talent.

A little lesser known rider who fits the same mold (IMO) is Kyle Summers. He's been ripping it up in the WORCS series for the past few years and has got an endless amount of talent. He showed up at the Lakewood nat. two years ago and, if my memory serves me right, pulled off a top ten in the heavies class.

I can't blame these guys though for opting out of the nats, a podium finish in the WORCS series pays a lot more (I'd guess) than what a >5th place finish in the nationals.

Big ups to both guys though! Respec'
