Prado might not get any points in the quali this week, some sort of problem lap 1. Almost last right now.
WTF? A bit of duct tape will do ya.
Lost his seat. I don't think he'll get to 10th but will be interesting tomorrow what he can do with a 15-20 gate start
Imagine if you are his mechanic and forgot to put the Seat bolt...
Go race by Febvre and steady Gajser... We Will se tomorrow if Prado can join with that poor start gate.
Herlings looks worst than last races, Hope he is ok

van de Moosdijk dropped from around 7th early on to 28th at the finish there on the factory Honda
...and you can't even find them when you need them for the spare seat.
Gajser needs start, he got a gift today with the seat falling off. If he holeshots like Prado he would be a in a better position than Prado at this point IMO. But his starts for the most part have not been there.
Will be interesting.
This is probably the worst track to have a bad gatepick and a bad start on. But if anybody can holeshot from gate 17 it's him
FIM decision: Jorge is to dominant, he will now have to use a trials Gas Gas in qualification.
Spoiler alert: he's not so dominant without a saddle.
Lucas Coenen of Nestaan Husqvarna Factory Racing is not fully fit this weekend at the start of the fourth race of the MX2 world championship in Arco di Trento. Coenen has taken a crash this week during a training session and has hurt his shoulder.
He tried to drive today and eventually gave up after a number of laps in qualifying heat. It is very doubtful whether we will see Coenen at the start tomorrow in the race.
https://www.motocrossplanet.com/2024/04/13/pijnlijke-schouder-voor-lucas-coenen-2/
A little bit dissapointed with him but maybe he is showing his lack of training and the reason of getting fired...
Post race interview Febvre trow a little dart saying he holeshoted and controled the race like they said because thats Prado tipical words
I didn’t think that duct tape would hold on that long. Prado was super pissed. Time to rivet or red loctite those bolts in. Have to destroy the seat every time it comes off. but twice in one moto, and a short one at that. WTF.
How the fuck does that even happen?
I've seen riders lose seats before but twice in the same race must be a record https://youtube.com/shorts/Fi7Kt2D1f1Q?si=JBJNbt3LbVTCwuzg
Bit of a safety hazard i'd have thought having a rider circulating with a seat only held on by duct tape. Imagine if it would have come off as he was going over the uphill triple, if it hit someone he was passing it could have caused some damage
Surely he could have kept a decent pace standing up the whole way instead of going in for a new seat and losing time? Everts did it most of his career
Pit Row
I do think he would have finished top10 without a seat too.
Not a chance. He was dropping positions like a rock trying to manage the rutted tight turns standing up, but was drifting to the outside. And he is more of a sit down rider anyways.
On a sand track that was rough enough to force you to stand up, maybe. He'd have to be Everts-tough though to do that.

It would be interesting indeed to see if Prado can still go for the win with that gate pick. That's a test on a track were Tim and Romain are gonna do well.
250 class might be more open than the 2 husqy boys. Lucas still has up and downs while De Wolf, even though he started on really strong, I'm still not fully confident that he is gonna be consistent the full season. Watch out for Laengenfelder, there is a big challenger for the title there.
Lata is suprisingly very fast in EMX250 but the big surprise comes from Valin right now...
EMX125 is as opened as ever.
Lata is on a Gas gas Factory Juniors bike, so he has a really good bike like Valk.
Valin did really good last yeat in Emx125 and he was 125 junior world champion so he is a good rider.
Valin impresed me the most because i dont think that bud Racing Kawasaki is anything near the level of Ktm Factory bikes.
Other curious thing is that last year almost none of the emx125 Riders were on ktm fuel injetec bikes and this year there are plenty of ktm.
Valerio was a very fast racer on 85cc and since he moved up he didn't really delivered. He did a couple MX2 races in which he was not having good results. But this year he seems to have found something.
Valin was very fast last year, I just did not expected him to be that good right away. He easily passed Janis Reisulis (his rival from last year) in Spain, and seems to be in the title hunt already!
Well, they're reading the Riot Act to near on the entire EMX250 class at the end of the second moto.
I have to say, I've only seen a very brief clip of what I assume is the reason for the collective bollocking , as I was involved in that most dangerous of Blood Sports: Gardening , and only saw a clip of nearly every rider jumping (the finish line?) under a waved yellow flag.
So, unsure if there was a waved / stationary yellow before it, but if there wasn't, where the flag was being waved from (well back from the top edge of the jump), it's highly doubtful that riders could have seen it since they were coming from 'below', so to speak.
Valerio Lata, with a 1:1, has an impressive result tally from Trentino - winning the 125s in 21(?). and EMX250 in 23 and now 24. A fast young Italian, with a set of chompers worthy of Antonio Cairoli!
Those juniors don’t have factory bikes. They get some support from the KTM group but they are far from factory bikes!
Even at the last VitalMX podcast they talked that not even all the “real” factory riders in MX2 not have the access to “full” Factory engines.
Those Kawasaki of Valin are not that far behind those bikes off Valk en Lata
van de Moosdijk did not go out in the warm-up session this morning so we'll see if he starts.
Pietro Trinchieri in MXGP is the only confirmed non-starter after picking up a knee injury yesterday.
Finally seeing what Sacha coenen can do. He'll need some time to stop crashing every single race and keep the pace up for 30min. But starts and speed are there
