So I wrecked the front of my 16 yz250 and can’t find a new triple clamp that doesn’t cost 500$ or more. My question is this. If I were to buy a set of “24 front forks and change the triple clamp would I need to do anything else to my bike? Like the axle or the brake? Please lmk what exactly I need bc I’ve done w lot of research and can’t seem to find all these swaps and what works and what doesn’t.
I’m sure someone else will chime in for certain, but I think for the YZ250’s, the front end should be interchangeable for 16 into the current model.
I think you could even use 250F triple clamps, but would need the axel, wheel spacers and stem from the smoker to make them work.
The only changes to the front suspension over that span of time were internal. Physically, everything should interchange.
They did go to a larger front rotor, not sure of the year

That seems to be for a 125 and the 125 has a smaller neck than the 250. And mine is a 2016. I appreciate it. I wish this fit. The top clamps are a bigger bite then the 250f and 125 as I understand it.
2 stroke upper tubes are larger at the top clamp.
125 stem is different than a 250.
125 clamps will work if you use your 250 stem.
early 4 stroke yz’s maybe up to 07 or 08 used the larger upper clamp as well.
im currently running stock yz450 clamps , and 49mm showas with a 2 stroke stem in the clamps.
I haven’t kept track of the changes from the more modern stuff (18+), my garage queens a 13.
