I just had the frame of my 99 kx250 powder coated and purchased new gas tank dampers to attach to it. What adhesive is used for this?

3M super weatherstrip adhesive is what I would try.

DAP Weldwood contact cement, it’s what’s used to put turf on jet skis. Flash it and it’ll stay put for decades.

Thank you suspensionguy! By flash it you mean leave it sit for an amount of time before applying the dampers?

That is correct. Let it just dry to the touch, just slightly tacky to your finger. Put it on the frame and the damper. Once you stick them they're stuck!

Right on! Thanks suspensionguy. I’ll go this route.

Loctite AA330 is pretty awesome.

Used with aerosol acetone as activator.

Good for 120°, sticks super fast, 24 hour full cure apparently but I bond aluminium cable tie mounts to chassis / engines and I can cable tie wiring to it in 15 minutes.
