Daughter and family taking me to the Nashville SX for my 70th. First time in Nashville, staying 3 nights. Will have my 9yo grandson in tow. Any pro tips on negotiating Broadway with a 9yo, staying right there. Any pre-party's ?

Live music all the way up and down the strip. Most of the "bars" are family friendly up until about 9pm. Also check out the 2 story food court located next to EddieV's. If Morgan Wallen is in town look out for flying chairs.

There is a free short bus route that might be good for the group.  You can get off at the Capitol.  I was there over lunch and they had food trucks.  Johnny Cash museum is one of my favorites.

First thing I thought when I saw the thread title was "watch out for flying chairs" but you beat me to it Laughing

If you're a fan of old country music the Ryman Auditorium is just off Broadway. I enjoyed that tour, and my daughter and her friends enjoyed the line dancing classes at the Wildhorse Saloon. Otherwise the classiest thing I can say about that area is your grandson might get to see boobs from a passing open air party bus.

Wife and I went to Nashville last year. I did not care for Broadway St ( I think I'm 30years to old for it). I am a big history buff so we went to Belle Meade and Hermitage. i enjoyed them a lot. Might be boring for a 9yr old though.

If you have the opportunity, stay at the Hilton Airport. The 1st year of Nashville we stayed there and Forkner was in the room across the hall, we had breakfast next to J Mart, met Bobby Regan at breakfast, met Mitch, Anderson, Reed all in the lobby that day. Seems to be the go to hotel for all the moto people. Still convenient to downtown/strip/stadium.

Thanks everyone, Opryland was my first thought, water park not open yet. Staying right off Broadway, this kid is not driving anywhere. Do we really need to wear Moto Gear on Broadway? Heard the sky was falling....

Large part of water park is indoors and open at least Friday - Sunday year round.

Looks like rain again next week Thursday - Sunday, we can't buy a break with the weather.

Stop and get food at Hattie B’s on Broadway right across from Bridgestone arena. Hands down the best Nashville Hot chicken sandwhich I’ve ever had! My wife & I go there once a year from OH to watch the Predators hockey and that’s our favorite pregame dinner

I’m taking my wife, she’s been wanting to go for years.
Of course I’m taking her when SX is in town.
Where’s everyone going after the race?

Try Reds 615 in centennial park, or Princes for Hot Chicken. Hattie B's is just a tourist trap with a two hour line.

Just hit up as many bars on Broadway at night. So much live music and a cool atmosphere its hard to not have a fun time.
